It’s a very different sound for the killers and the lack of the main guitarist in almost if the songs seem to remove individuality from the songs at first glance and so I understand why people don’t like it as much but I think it’s good, still not my favorite sound for the killers but it’s still good

I first heard this song years ago playing at a Hot Topic in my local shitty mall. I had never listened to The Killers before, but I loved the sound, so I took out my pen and paper (yeah I carried them on me at all times back then; it was a work thing) and wrote down what lyrics I could understand. Months later, after forgetting about the note, I found it among a shitpile lying around my home. I searched the lyrics, found the song, and fell completely in love. I slowly worked through the songs of the album, feeling them out and building personal meaning into them. Then I got to "Have All the Songs Been Written," and it WIPED ME OUT. Being in the desolate, destroyed state I was in at the time, I felt like the song was my highest self, my purest self, calling to me through time and space in one last desperate attempt to save me from my self-destructive habits. I can see it, I believe it...

I won't tell my age, but you prob can guess. My first concert was The Beatles at Shea Stadium in 64. Saw The Who for One dollar 7/07/1967 at Lido Beach on Long Island. You name the group, I have seen them live. Living in New York does have some advantages. I have never seen The Killers live but, after seeing The Royal Albert Hall DVD and watching numerous concerts on KZbin they are definitely number one on my list to see next. It is rare for the excitement of a live show to jump off a screen, but The Killers do just that. I have seen some crazy crowds(AD/DC-Seger in Detroit, Zeppelin anywhere, Who at MSG etc), but Killer crowds alone are worth the price of admission. Ok boys, an aging graybeard saying, somewhere close to NYC , the sands are falling fast thru the glass of my time on Earth! Until then, THANK YOU! Hope to see you before I, oops, I mean _____soon!

As soon as I got my copy of this album open and into my CD player (yes, I still insist on physical media) this _immediately_ became my favourite song by The Killers. And it's up against some _serious_ opposition there.
@tuansyafiq51776 жыл бұрын
do you own all of their albums? if yes, how would you rank them?
@ArcaneAzmadi6 жыл бұрын
@@tuansyafiq5177I do own all of them. It's pretty hard to rank them all actually, but I'd definitely say that my favourite is Battle Born because it is the most _consistently_ amazing of them- there's not even a single song I ever skip over when I listen to it, and I love to sing along to every single one. I think Battle Born is the only album I have by _any_ band where I can say that.
