3:00 nope, this is entirely cardinal creating its own quests. it was designed to run a game indefinately without any outside interference, so generating quests would be a necessity for an MMO like that.

After SAO2 I would recommend you to watch "Accel World". It's written by Reki Kawahara, the same author who wrote Sword Art Online. There are some connections between Accel World and Sword Art Online. It's a good base, but it's not a requirement for SAOIII.

I would love to be in a mmo like sword art if it was real. It would suck to be trapped, but I love vr as it is. Well eventually get there. Vr has come a long way in a short time, were probably not that far away from this kind of dive.

That arc isn’t a side story per say, it is adapted from the LN. Well… SAO isn’t the only VRMMO anime, there’s .Hack, Bofuri, Infinite Dendrogram. If I wanted to throw in a virtual world of MMO, I be glad to, not because I wanted to get away from responsibilities but to experience and taken a break from reality, a sort of stress relief. There’s not just the movie, there’s also the Extra Edition, sure is a recap of the first season but the rest is okay, and there’s also a spinoff called Alternative Gun Gale Online.

I’d love to be trapped in a game like SAO but not because of running away from responsibilities or anything. It would be a heck of a life experience. You’d almost be time traveling to a degree. Going back to a more simplistic time without worry of plague or anything. Granted it has fantasy elements in the game but even if you were trapped for 2 years. That’s just 2 years of your entire life with an insane adventure. Yea there is the threat of death but just gotta be careful.

Know I’m late to the discussion but, given the opportunity even if I had watched SAO and I knew there were risks to doing it I would 100% play a “full dive VRMMORPG” like SAO. I’m praying that we will have the tech to do it in my lifetime.

"Sword Art really likes to go there!" - Yep! Not as bad as High School of the Dead though, where in every fight scene, the animators seem to loose the plot for a few minutes because they seemingly decided: "Hey, let's draw some boobs!" 😂

I would go into the game in spite of the risk, but I most likely wouldn’t be on the front lines, I’d probably work a blacksmith shop like Liz, and max out other skills on the side; cooking, fishing, appraisal, etc. Yes, I’d still do combat, but I wouldn’t be rushing head first into a fight I wasn’t sure I was going to win.
