It's unbelievable how clean and pure their sound is all the time, even more so considering the speed in which they sing this. I really tried to pay attention to when they breathe, but no matter how close you listen, you cannot hear a single sound that's not part of the music itself. Not even natural lip sounds or something. Unbelievable indeed.

it's so cool how they can each sing their own part without getting messed up by the other parts... it's so much harder than people think and plus it's a cappella too
@nicolasmotte24272 ай бұрын
I have to disagree with that, I think it's on the contrary pretty easy. However, singing that well, you have to work hard plus been born with the ability.

did this song in high school and it is extremely difficult to sing. it is great fun and there are some beautiful parts. one of my favorites.

The piece is about a group of women gossiping, basically. I think a faster tempo helps convey this much better than a slower tempo.

The song isn't allusive at all, it says " He feeds the chickens and I take my pleasure so high than the screams of the poultry are nothing to compare with mine". But maybe was it a bit innapropriate to give the real traduction...

If this were about a courtly love situation or a motet, I'd probably prefer a slower tempo like the one you linked. But when it's a madrigal about a group of women gossiping about their husbands, while some chickens run around, I think a faster tempo is needed. Good luck on your search for more music!

25% ACCELERATED? FPS CUTS? It seems to me that it is artificially accelerated, by video software. I am struck by the body roll (as with FPS cuts), especially the head and shoulder movement of the bass. Try playback at 0.75 and you will see that it sounds more realistic and more musical. If not, if this is a totally real performance, music is no longer music if only speed is sought.

each one of these guys could have had a good career as a soloist and yet they came together for the sake of being greater than the sum of the parts. Sort of like the Dallas Mavericks.
