Saw you guys so many times, Mosport, Ontario place forum but the most memorable was a small bar in Pickering. The band took a break and Sonny got busted by Durhams finest outback, partaking of some herb. He did return later in the set, but made it a memorable night for us in such a small setting. That place was our hang, and we fortunately stumbled into this great show.

What a gd fucking song. Fucking peerless. AOR radio in the American Midwest offered a narrow frame for understanding the world. Yet, it also brought this five-minute masterpiece to my attention. Up there w/ "What I Like About You," "There's Never Been any Reason," and other 70s/80s power pop gems. Clearly, the reason for The Kings' imprint on pop culture.

@@thekingsarehere Thanks Kings. Your energy levels are INSANE! That level of stage energy makes me laugh! On a considerably smaller level, there's a group of teens playing "Never Been Any Reason" here on YT that clearly took their inspiration from you ; I'd love to see a behind the scenes for the song's construction. How did you compose it? What were your influences? Like all perfect pop songs, serendipity must have played a part - no other band could have written this.
