The DVD and CD soundtrack finished up its 3-year PBS run and remainder of DVD stock reverted back to our production company who produced the concert special, Desert C.A.M. Studios. We have limited copies left but are still selling them on requests through Paypal. The DVD's are $30, and contain 5 bonus songs not seen in the TV special, a new mini-documentary on The Kingston Trio, celebrity interviews backstage, Behind the scenes, and the premiere of a new music video by Shane and The Trio. The special has become historic in that it turned out to be the last performance and interview with the legendary Bob Shane before he retired from public life at 86. The CD is $20 and has 5 different bonus songs, including three new tracks with Shane and The Trio from 2016, along with a very special new recording of Bob Shane performing "Scotch and Soda" with the 42-piece frank SInatra Orchestra. If you are interested in purchasing both or either, contact Travis or myself at the studio and she can make the shipping arrangements for you and Paypal invoice. Shipping takes 2-3 days. Travis@DesertCAM.com - or - Chip@DesertCAM.com. Cheers, Chip Miller (Director/Co-Producer/Editor)

When was it?

The concert was filmed over two nights in 2016 in Hollywood, and then it aired on PBS from 2016 to 2019, and still pops on sometimes, In 2020, after Bob Shane and Trini Lopez (who appears in the concert) both passed away, the concert is available on DVD and on CD soundtrack, as well as is now available on all major streaming platforms through MVD Distribution.

This isn’t the Kingston trio…they’re all dead

No shit, Sherlock. However, the late Bob Shane was producing, managing, touring, and appearing with this line-up from 2003 to 2018. 5 years longer than the original Trio. But this is about their music. Two of The Beatles are dead, Beethoven is dead, The Doors are practically dead, etc. Enjoy the music and meaning and don't be snide with something so friggin' obvious. Al Jardine of The Beach Boys, Timothy B. Schmit of The Eagles, Barry McGuire of the New Christy Minstrels, Trini Lopez, Henry Diltz of the Modern Folk Quartet, and many more, appeared with Shane and this Trio and had no issue about the line-up because they were honoring their late heroes. How about you do the same? And if I get a wise ass reply, you will simply be deleted. Cheers, Chip
