My band (1968-1970) turned those three numbers -- plus Manfred Mann's fabulous "Do Wah Diddy Diddy" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/l5W8oa2slNaSq5Y) -- into a full 45 minute set. The hardest part of covering those numbers was to find a bass and drums capable of driving them with requisite authority. By the way -- I really enjoy this remix of "All day and all of the night" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/l3fdg5WHj5V1pKs).

how is it that the 60` s was when music really grew up, and came of age but these days the music really isn`t worth listening to or playing in comparision, although i grew up in the 80s and wasn`t around in the 60s, i do think that really great music started in this era, and continued into the 70`s and 80s, and when during the 80s you turned on the radio, especially on long car journeys and me probably going to wales on holiday, apart from being stuck in the car for hours on end, all you could do was to listen to the radio, and even then in my naive youth i realised i was listening to some of the greatest music of all time and possibly have returned to this great music again and again now and then, especially with the likes of youtube these days and these are the sort of music that i was listening to, let alone at college, : the beatles, the rolling stones, the who, the supremes, marvin gaye, the kinks, the monkees, the doors, sonny and cher, the mamas and the papas, the beach boys, and theres loads more i can`t think of right now, and then in the 70`s there was the sex pistols, the police, the jam, pink floyd , abba, the jacksons, queen, the eagles, madness, the clash, the boomtown rats, blondie, gary numan, kate bush, boney m, t rex, and in the 80s, michael jackson, bruce springsteen, madonna, europe, berlin, aerosmith, duran duran, tears for fears, phil collins, a ha, bon jovi, ub40, culture club, the human league, what happened to great music, i can only imagine someone quite a bit older than me who is really into there music, and was lucky enough to have lived through those times, and listened to this great music, and possibly saw these bands live, and maybe even now has still great a great record collection, is truly one blessed person.

G r e a t song! To me, it was ahead of its time, especially Dave Davies' guitar playing. I have this VHS tape and just watched it yesterday on my used S-VHS player. Thanks for uploading.

I Bought this on a 45 rpm single in 1964. I was in a band and had my guitar amplifier in my room at a boarding house and played the record on my record payer jacked into my 15" speaker Ampeg tube unit and put the dial on #10. After the record played, the landlady came upstairs and said don't ever do that again or you are out of here.
