At least this comment paired with that behavior validates that my spouse is abusive and I’m right to be leaving. So. Yay. Lol. I wish I was jk rofl but 😅 Every single toxic relationship movie (basically all my teenage years) needed a comment underneath that said “this is toxic af. Please note: do not date. This guy is evil” Maybe I’ll make that my new mission. Some women visit the shelters and hospitals to hold hands and give back after they survive I’m gonna write all those comments… lol. I actually might. I mean, I have vowed to comment on every Jaime French video I binge to increase her engagement. I could just randomly start posting comments about abusive relationship flags. It would be weird. But it’s the internet, so that should be expected. I dunno. Maybe I’ll get some feedback from this super old comment thread 😂😂

Teacher here.... I can't even get passed the title, because there is not a school around, don't care how rich, and privileged its students are, that would allow a kissing booth for ANY reason...."charity" be damned!!!! Never mind the possibility of spreading illnesses, or the blow to self-esteem it could pose to certain teens, but 18y/o seniors, making out with 14y/o freshman?!?! Not a flipping chance!!! That is a lawsuit waiting to happen, with the potential for criminal charges. No school would take that risk!!! None. Period. Full stop. Forget it. Never gonna happen.

I'm really glad you left this comment because I'm a CSA Survivor that feels like the world is against me. I want to make content like this that's specifically focused on the child safety lens, and adolescent development. It feels like nobody cares or everyone is fighting AGAINST people talking about it. I was literally just thinking about how to start even talking about this I have to make tons of disclaimers like "no this really is a problem, if you don't care about child safety this much please just leave," etc. As a CSA SURVIVOR! it's ridiculous. I'm going to grad school just so that I can get better education and do more for victims in the system, but goddamn, it is insane that even WITH those degrees and licenses, people want to argue for content like this and parents making kiddo versions of basically only fans accounts, etc. I feel like I crashed onto a pedo planet at birth, and I'm running with it-- these psychos WILL NOT convince me that under parented kids aren't being raised by media to be more easily abusable

So true! I started dating a guy like this, super protective and controlling and wanted to move things very quickly, talking about marriage, kids and moving with me back to his home country on date 1. After like 4 dates he would be barking and telling me what to do and when I called him out he said he just wanted to keep the people around him safe. When I told him we would be better as friends and his behaviour concerned me I ended up getting sa'd. Thank goodness no pregnancy resulted from that. But it made me wonder what would happen if I had just gone along with it and ended up in a relationship. Scares me to this very day, especially the fact that he has a daughter.

I wasn't allowed to just watch stuff on my own without them for the first time until like 17 or so (it wasn't weird, I didn't have a tv in my room until then so it was just a tech screens are in communal rooms only thing) and we'd always discuss stuff. It helped bring up the conversations more naturally, at least to me. So I do the same with my kiddos and discuss "does that seem healthy to you?" Or "how could they have handled that better, do you think?" Etc. An example of what not to be like or look for can help

I'm convinced that if you're a teenage girl or young woman, being in a romcom is the most dangerous thing that can happen to you. So much falling/getting hurt, so much being gaslit, so much having your abuse and manipulation being romanticized.

That should be a fun indie horror comedy. A woman gets transported into the fictional world of rom coms where if she doesn’t bend to the fast paced sudden whiplash of romance and drama, they’ll force her themselves.. All her cute little falls start becoming more frequent and dangerous, the perfect guy suddenly starts being this creepy insistent stalker guy who won’t stop calling or pressuring her to be with him. Her own family begin shutting her out and trying to force her to quit her high paying job to live out in the sticks w a practical stranger she knew once in elementary school. ‘Hallmark in Hell’ ..If she doesn’t Live Laugh Love, then they’ll just Live Laugh Slaughter. I need A24 to come throughhhhh

It’s disturbing already how in so many teen movies, the negative stuff they’re “trying” to say not to do such as body shaming, racism, sexual harassment, abusive relationships etc, is done in a way that almost just shrugs it off and doesn’t actually teach anything, but it seems like they didn’t even try to do that in this movie. It’s just blatantly normalizing and appropriating that behavior.

I hope if any teenage girls come across this video, they genuinely hear what you're saying. To a young, naive, inexperienced teenager, this kind of attention is so appealing, because the message they're given, at least back then, was to give it up to land yourself with the popular crowd. So my grandma is OBSESSED with these movies and I CANNOT figure out why 🤮 I guarantee she is responsible for its “success” 💀 You should do “the princess switch” movies 😂

Old ppl just love terrible movies/tv shows. I recall watching some of the soap operas my grandma watched and I felt like I was high. It was so dramatic and over the top.

I guess they like the toxicity from their time period when possesive and controlling behaviours were considered romantic~~

I started watching your videos and now I can't stop! I love your energy. On another note I totally agree with you about the hight difference. I'm 5"2 and my boyfriend is 5"11 but the doctors told him he was supposed to be 6"5. I always tell him that if he were that tall we would most likely not be together, lol

This movie feels like it's supposed to be a throwback to raunchy 80s teen movies - the teen girls being put in super awkward positions, the stuff that's technically sexual assault, but it's funny, the male lead who's a terrible person? It's like this script was just sitting around since 1983 and nobody thought they needed to change any aspect of it for the 21st century.

Teen Witch is a TERRIBLE movie. I own it on DVD. The rap battle both makes me cringe hard AND laugh my butt off. Top that!

I didn't want you to do Teen Witch until you ended with "I'm not going to do Teen Witch." Honestly, just watch it for your own enjoyment of the musical/dance moments LOL. You crack me up.

When I was 14 or 15 I went on a church mission trip, during which we spent about a week renovating houses in Cumberland, MD and staying in a church basement. We brought a few VHS tapes for entertainment (and a bottle of Goldschlager one of the girls snuck in her suitcase, cuz we were teenagers from Wisconsin in the 90s so, yeah) and one of those was Teen Witch. We watched it at least 3 times and ended our time in that church basement with a full on reenactment of the "Top That" scene. It. Was. Amazing. Love that movie!

I SO want to see Jamie do "Teen Witch"-not because I love the movie (which I do) but because the movie is just so awesomely bad! I know she the review would be hucking filarious!!!! I'd also LOVE to see a review of the original "Buffy The Vampire Slayer" (with Hillary Swank and Christy Swanson). It's so ridiculous (the main characters are valley girls, ffs)...and the cast alone (Luke Perry, David Arquette, Paul Reubens (Pee Wee Herman), Rutger Hauer)...I mean, c'mon, Jamie, PPPLLLLEEEEEASEEEEEEE!!!
