Very good. I first visited this graveyard in 2016, was very overgrown and unkempt then. Its actually great to see how the locals have cleaned it up.Second time I went looking for it I had forgotten where it was ha. I found it again and was in a much tidier state. I believe the last burials there occurred in the 19th century, at the point it was very overcrowded and described as 'mass of rotten flesh'. Its an incredible oasis of peace in an otherwise busy industrial estate.

Just a comment to add to the 'data-base' there are substantial templar ruins in Mullinahone,, Co Tipperary. Lots of local lore (my father came from there, Modeshill near-by Yes I am a descendant of the infamous Bishop Miler McGrath, a man of many levels and certainly not one you would want to mess with. There are stories of lost treasure, underground tunnels and all that 'good stuff' but most of them reference the time of Cromwell, anything earlier tends to be attributed to the 'faeries'? Maybe I should write down the stories I heard at my Father's knee, the things he believed to be true, he had a mind like a diamond, it was definitely set but could cut through anything to find the truth? One thing to know, he believed in the 'faeries' , I myself have never seen one but I have had 'meetings' that are difficult to rationalize,? '

I'm from mullinahone myself and l too, have heard the stories of the templars and the tunnels, there is for sure a tunnel leading from castle to castle, for it has collapsed in three points in the last 30 years that l know of, plus the castle in the centre of the village is considered 9th century possible 10th but a templar seal was found there, if you read the plaque outside the ruins they claim there is a crypt hidden somewhere, which lm nearly sure l know the entrance which l found by accident while working there, it is quite interesting to think a sea faring religious military might of the templars would consider a centeral village in Tipperary as a base, makes you wonder maybe they have hid something there.

The Faddan More Psalter i.e., an early medieval Christian psalter (circa 800 CE ), discovered in a peat bog in July 2006, is an interesting piece of early Christian history. The papyrus lining in the book hints at a potential link between Coptic Christians & Ireland. Some truly remarkable finds from Irish bogs. A tentative link between Egypt and Ireland - but fascinating nonetheless.

The Templars of course were an organisation not a Country, so having individuals (yes typically Royalty, Aristocracy etc.) from other counties makes sense. The Templar were persecuted and outlawed by Philip IV 1307 Black Friday comes from this event. There many burnt alive as you suggested etc. but the vast majority made it out of France, Scotland, England, Ireland and Portugal. look into the Sinclair’s in Scotland. In Portugal King Dinis was in power (the Portuguese Royal Family were Templars), and had them rebranded as the Order of Christ, this group then went on to Discover the World as Portugal lead (Under the Order of Christ) the Golden Age of Discovery, look at their Caravels and the insignia on the sails. The Templar had a major game changing influence in forming the World we live in today. Did deeper you will find the threads and connections. And yes Portugal was created by Templars relatively early in the piece 1142 AD, by Afonso the Conqueror, the founder. His father and uncle had very early connections as part of the Templar fraternity, this being the case Afonso was of course also part of the Templar Organisation. When his father passed, his mother wanted the County (at the time) of modern day Portugal for herself. Afonso supported by the Templar then went to battle with a vastly smaller army of men and defeated her, he was installed as King by the people. The earliest lineage of the Portuguese Royalty was in fact French - (Side note here). On the Portuguese front there is an excellent book called First Templar Nation by Freddie Silva.

Pilgrims travelling to the Holy Land would not carry the large amount of gold needed to sustain themselves and their servants with them but lodge it with Templars. Upon arrival at their destination they would present a deed to recover the money at a templar lodge. Many died on the journey and the money remained with the Templars. Some also lodged the deeds of property which ended up with the Templars also. Templars became involved with Kabbalistic magic during their time in the East.

I am interested in the pre viking history of the viking settlements in Ireland. For example the clans that ruled in waterford before the vikings arrived. The Knights Templar in Ireland, were they really Irish or were they the Normans and old English? Did the real Irish join their ranks or did the real Irish make their own way to the holy land from their farms and return to their farms without having anything to do with the foreigner occupiers here? I know the Normans became more Irish than the Irish themselves but in the end we all ended up speaking English and our government has outlawed total emersion in kindergarten because they want to kill the language while pretending to care about it.

The small french migration to the area shortly before and following Friday 13th for example.
