I bought one of those a few days ago, first use went great, then next day I was going around the back yard trimming up pine limb ends,. Low hanging apple tree limb ends, just things in my way when I mow... Well the motor puffed smoke so I quit, let it cool an hour then tried it and it puffed more smoke so back it went

wow. sounds like a defective unit. I've run my through two batteries straight, and never got the sense it was overheating or anything like that. Hopefully the replacement serves you better than the first one.

Their 80v version did in fact disappoint. It broke within the first 5 minutes of using it. Hope the 40v has a better design.

Great review! I know the weight is 12lbs or so. How does it feel after using it a while? Thanks

the weight hasn't bothered me. I like how the rear handle swivels, and the front wrap-around handle provides various gripping positions which probably helps reduce fatigue.

Save those seeds. Make little packets to give away during your Christmas tree sales or sell some. Just another idea. That will save time on pruning the Christmas trees. Awesome purchase. How did the handle rotation option work?

cosmos seed is cheap. Not worth my time to save it IMO. Plus the birds already hit it hard. I'm going to mow this down after it dries out some more, spread annual rye and see if any flowers come back next year.

Good idea. Hope it works.

Would this work to trim like an evergreen type bush?
@FlatCreekOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
yes, it likely wood as long as the branches you're trying to trim do not exceed about 1/2 inche in diameter.

ATG says to stay away from those crappy 40v to 80v battery products if you are planning on holding it. They are going to throw your back out because it's too darn heavy. ATG says to use AC power cord models. Battery products are not made for working maintenance workers that cut grass @ less than $20/hr. So the fancy words of Commercials & Landscapers' equipment are really maintenance workers' tools.

I'd like to try a better one for comparison because I've been pretty pleased with these so far.
