I wish he had been asked about growing up in middle-class Chelmsford, his posh boarding school, and whether he knew Brian Jones at the time (who was a near-neighbour of his, before Brian formed the Rolling Stones). How did he end up in South London doing what he claims he did, when he came from such a nice family and had such a good upbringing? And how long was it before he lost his original accent and started talking like this?

There used to be a tv programme called "Porridge" with a character called "Grouty" who the prisoners feared. He ran the prison and had a sneer. I've always wondered if Grouty was based on Charlie Richardson? Anyone know?
