I have nothing against them, certain aspects of them are really cool and all their songs are catchy. The more money big companies make the more they can manipulate and control the industry, and the whole ai, technology obsessed concept is really freaky coming from a massive corporation lmao I could put all that aside and be a fan if they were amazing performers, but i still dont think any of them have reached 100% charisma on stage yet and the constantly not singing vocal-heavy songs live throws me off big time

I would highly recommend that you watch the aespa series! It ties the whole story together and it’s. so. well. made. I would say that’s the only thing you need to watch to follow along their story. 2 episodes have already been released. You should watch their mvs along with their episodes in chronological order, so: Black Mamba MV ep.1 Black Mamba Next Level MV Savage MV ep.2 Next Level Girls MV It’s extremely satisfying to see their whole story together and I definitely think that it was meant to be consumed like that. Regarding ending a story: after watching the Girls MV, it really makes you wonder what happens next in the aespa lore, cause it feels like an end and it makes it so exciting:)

I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it. What I love about it is the experience. It seems like I am watching a short movie. It's so intense! Kudos to all the people involve in this production, music and mv wise.

PD, just a heads up that SM has done this with EXO. They pretty much worked from the EXO Universe, but this time expanding it to create a more cohesive SMCU to include all the groups, and be the launching pad for Aespa. Pointing this out because as a long time SM fan, who also got into EXO with their continuing lore, from debut to the most recent Special Album wherein we saw that SM has begun to tie their story with the broader SMCU, I feel sad that people forget just how amazing it’s been, and how it kind of set a template for SMCU. Their albums (even unit ones), music videos, down to their concert VCRs have been consistent with the story telling. Everything is interwoven. I’m personally super excited when they announced the SMCU and debuted Aespa through this, but I hope that people recognize too that SM has done this before, even if it was only for EXO initially. P.S. I’m a TVXQ fan since debut-maybe it’s me, but I’ve always adored the “Gods Rising From The East” concept. And to know that they incorporated that into the SMCU (please watch the VCR from the SMCU con🙏🏼), like TVXQ were gods in Kwangya, and there was some sort of fall of the gods thing that happened (their temple was destroyed, and damaged or smth), just had me geeking out. 😅 I love how by SM doing this with Aespa, we’re getting some form of a series executed through their music videos, and eventually concert vcrs. The conceptualization and execution of it all is amazing, and tbh something only SM can really pull off. Also Girls reminds me of old school SMP songs - H.O.T’s I Yah, TVXQ!’s Tri-Angle, just a more modern take, and I’m honestly loving it. It’s an homage to old school SM, but infused and made fresh with the dubstep and like just a more modern(?) sound♥︎

As Giselle says: “Meta universe exists and now the Parallel world…” are they trying to say there will be multiverses? That would be mind blowing!!

I think this is the first Aespa song I liked at first listen. I am not too sure how to explain it, but the difference between each parts feels less jarring to me in Girls so that makes the song easier for me to listen to. I swear I almost lost my mind when I first heard the dubstep breakdown. It's so good! Also, I will never get tired of hearing Ning Ning sing. She has such a beautiful voice.

I really like this MV, the neo futuristic lore heavy and unusual style is really unique in kpop industry. It needs a couple replaying to appreciate the small details tho. there are some acid techno styles in their song.

I love how Aespa experiments something new everytime and they don't care about-negativity while doing so. Since Black Mamba I've been really amazed by them and I always felt sad about the hate they get. Like Kpop stans always ask for something new from groups in every comeback and when they do, they hate on it.
