Oh PD, I've been waiting for this! You're one of the reactors I trust here and to see you enjoy his MV is heartwarming! I knew you would like it! You should definitely listen to his mini album especially since Chanyeol wrote the lyrics in 4/6 songs and is involved in everything from the sound to the concepts. It's so SO SATSIFYINGLY GOOD!! Easy listening and very different from the usual kpop releases. You should also watch the Post Release MV for his other track 'Back Again', less angsty but more fun 2000s cinematic rock!

7:02 actually, chanyeol was deeply involved in the creative direction of this mv and the album as well. He did not only wrote the lyrics of black out but also gave the idea of how de mv had to be. The director himself said that he didn't have to do much because chanyeol came with most of the ideas and the concept.

the wong kar wai influence in this is so perfect, from the very first teaser pic they released it all clicked for me and it absolutely sets the tone for the whole ep imo, also the fact that the mv was actually filmed in hong kong makes it even better, one of my top 3 releases of the year for sure

This song gave me chills when I first watched it, and I still choke up a bit. I'm so glad we are getting more vocals from Chanyeol. This style of music takes me back to what I listened to in high-school. I also have to say how much I love how Exobas a group is so good, and they are also very good as soloists and I just love how they all have their own sound. It's like we get to see who they are, and what they can do individually. Please check out Back Again, and Hasta La Vista, actually the whole mini album I love it!!!

I don't know how to say how much I adore Blackout. I am an ordinary person with a boring life without any love events, but every time I hear and see this song, I cry. Maybe in my previous life I experienced a big love injury and this song was supposed to give me a sign of the past that I don't remember. But I deeply believe that the main reason for these feelings that I experienced with the song is Chanyeol's ability to show his deep feelings with his voice and eyes, and this topic surprises me every time.

Honestly loved how the upbeat instrumental seemed like it wasn't depressing and meaningful, all the more if you don't understand the language, but once I watched the music video, everything connected. the storyline of the music video is not specific, but the vagueness of it makes the black out meaning, so relatable.
