Ive's songs aren't bad, it's just their individual activities that makes fans hate them. Nothing connected to their music at all, they get the same hate treatment as BlackPink. And if you think about it, their songs are good, no bad songs made even from their debut Eleven, it's already promising, but Love Dive got me so much even tho I do really hate that kind of song but they made me love it.

i like Wonyoung's concept in Off The Record the most. her concept is that she was reluctant to leave her house even though apocalypse is coming. that's why she stocked up food and toilet paper in her house and wore a helmet during an earthquake. Wow, interesting, that's a cool way to interpret the video I thought that Wonyoung kept canned hearts (apples) in her house, cause she's a Cupid (as all the girls are), and the earthquake happened cause there were some struggles with her job 😆 Also I can explain the scenes of other girls in that way, all of them did their cupid things. And apples around them are actually hearts. Leeseo prays for new love to grow, Gaeul helps a couple to get married, Rei is the archeror-cupid. I can't unravel Yujin and Liz's scenes though I need to read some twitter theories 😄

Actually I'VE MINE consists of TRIPLE TITLE TRACKS which is Either Way, Off The Record, and Baddie. Wonyoung menntioned in an interview that each title track focuses on a specific pair of eyes. Either way - How others see us / Off The Record - How we see each other / Baddie - A new side of me that I've discovered. Them being all title tracks explains why the MVs were all of great quality

I love how they all tell a story about themselves. Either Way is about finding comfort in your identity, Off the Record is about turning that comfort into love, and Baddie is the full transition from insecurity into confidence. People say they dropped the narcissistic concept but they definitely didnt.

Thank you for noticing that Liz owned their Baddie era!!!! I did not see enough people talking about her but she seriously ate that concept!! It was definitely Liz's era. I couldn't keep my eyes off her during their performances! Her stage presence was so good. And her dancing!!! Her popping during the break down of Baddie was so good. Either way is such a good take on the hate comments that not much songs cover. Songs like teddy bear and cake are all ignore the hate doesnt matter life is happy blah blah. Either way takes a look at the duality and why its important not to just ignore the hate but understand what it all means to your life. In the end i think they even say "give me the hate and the love either way im good." I think its still sad in the video because instead of ignoring the hate and building a fantasy world of butterflies and rainbows they take it all in... life for what it really is and yeah in the end they wont let it completely ruin who they are or intend to be going forward.. but they still acknowledge the haters and it still does affect their emotions. Plus the duality of the "they are all me in the end" i think yujin said those lines are inspired by comments where people criticize her looks with short hair vs long hair but both are still her in the end. I dunno.. i dont think a kpop song ever resonated with me so deeply on a lyric level than this song did. Either way is a 10/10 for this in my opinion

You put it really well, and the lyrics really resonate with me too! I think the beauty of the MV and song is actually not that it's romanticizing anything, but that it's just accepting the reality of life and taking the good AND the bad with it. They'll try to cover up the bad with glitter sometimes, but at the end of the day they'll accept it and keep going on because "either way" they're gonna be good. To me, that's like them showing how strong they are, even though they shouldn't have to be. And they know that too, that they shouldn't have to be strong, but they are and that's something they'll have to accept, again.

So they are talking about all the narrative haters spread around about the members. Wonyoung as a pick me egocentric center maniac attention seeking, or about them being disrespectful, about them not close at all with each other, and a lot more. It's all misunderstanding, but in the end, that's also the version of 'them' that people saw. So, yeah.

Idk if anyone has already pointed out this reference in the Off The Record M/V, but I believe that Wonyoung’s scene with her looking out of her room with a camera wearing a motorcycle helmet is a reference to a 2009 Korean film named Castaway on the Moon. In which the female lead is shut-in that is in her room viewing the world through her camera. There is also a second reference to the same film with Liz in the duck/Swan boat, a similar boat is featured in the film.

In my opinion and understanding, I think these 3 titles are all somewhat connected. Starting with EITHER WAY, wherein other people have different views of you whether hate or love. They just keep pretending, hiding their emotions even if they are hurt. "Either Way they're good" Then there's Off The Record, they are starting to share their worries, share their thoughts(they have each other), and slowly coming out of their shells... to be able to express their thoughts and feelings and most importantly themselves, as who they are. Also, them tempted to try something new, something that they've never done before, something extraordinary... Lastly, Baddie, they took the risk to completely come out of their shell and their comfort zones. They don't care what other people may think, say, or do. All they care about is what they want to do and do what they want. They're like a cat, reigning this world with so much courage, strength, and being unbothered af. (most specifically about what people will say). In conclusion, the transition from showing ➡️ vulnerability ➡️ blossom out ➡️ BADDIE

As far as individual titles this year, I Am did it for me, but this I've Mine album as a whole is so satisfying. There have been days where I have popped in the earbuds and looped this album for hours. Off The Record is my jam, but every other song is a contender too XD. I enjoyed this comeback. And Yujin with her acting and Liz with her confident attitude really held my attention. Icing on the cake to see these great performances from them.

My interpretarion of OTR is romanticizing your life. With Gaeul having an imaginart wedding & Liz having fun outside, etc. Its almost melodramatic in a way. Romance is often associated with red, which is why i think its a prevelent color. I love the music video sm.

I have to disagree, only Baddie stands out, the rest of the project feels cohesive without exploring the same genre and sound with all songs, which IMO is far more impressive than doing the same thing on all of them. I think Baddie being so different from the rest is what throws off a lot of people but the rest of the project flows very nicely together.

It's about their internal friendship and their ability to mutually console each other as they're being put under the magnifying glass by the media and public. Either Way is directly about that, Off The Record is a look at their private, late night conversations in which they share secrets with each other, which makes them feel at ease "no more time, no more kill my vibe", off the record and Baddie is about how the public portrays them, but, like in Kitsch, they embrace it instead of feeling ashamed of it. So, I actually think there is a common thread, but, one has to think about it thoroughly. Ultimately, that's why I think it's called "I'VE IVE", as in "I have IVE", IVE is the members' safe space. If no one else's got me, IVE's got me sort of deal.

I guess musically they explore different genres, but, that's why it's an EP and not an album. Sometimes groups will try to diversify their discography. Honestly, I personally think that it's actually a great idea to do that in one go because it emphasizes their versatility. But, ultimately, everyone has a right to their own preferences.
