4:52 YES, Wonho is heavily involved in his music. He used to write and produce here and there back when he was in Monsta X as well, but not nearly as much as he does now that he's on his own and he can pretty much do whatever he wants. He's a damn good musician and I wish more people talked about that.

True. His musicality is often overshadowed by his visuals and personality. But I think there is a certain niche of Wonho fans who just really like his music. I often wondered, since I like him so much, if I would like him as much if his music wasn't as good. At this point, he can come up with a nursery rhyme and I would still support it but what he releases are just so damn good that I'm a proud and almost arrogant fan sometimes. Even Blue, which I think is underrated, is a piece of art.

I can't believe you didn't know Wonho did everything 😭😭😭 he has been producing and writing so much that even back when he was in monsta x, we knew of his capabilities, but he really found his sound now that hes solo and I'm so proud of him!

PD just likes to check if somebody else worked on the music, because as he said with MX, even tho some other people have produced their title tracks they have been able to maintain a consistent sound, same goes to Wonho, but in his case is because he has put his hand on his solo stuff :)

Even though he’s still severely underrated in Korea (he doesn’t pull in crazy YT views like other idols), it’s good that the business has been recognizing his talent lately. He bagged Best Musician in the Asia Artist Awards and Best Male Solo in the Hanteo Awards. If he was promoted as a soloist by Starship and not Highline, he’d probably be 10x more popular.

Wonho is their only moneymaker so they can't take too big risks anyway with him, but Starship definitely holds Highline by its throat, banning them from giving him too much attention, as that would inevitably bring the haters in the house, and those are the same ones who would not mind attacking Monsta X in the same breath. By keeping Wonho somewhat restrained Starship keeps the main bullies quiet (spineless I know but MX has been thus far the only moneymaker in Starship... until IVE came at least).

@@luskaneseprince I agree. I figured they couldn’t exactly reinstate his contract with SSE after the scandal because it was already terminated. They had to sign him onto a different label entirely to dodge any further legal loopholes. I’m just glad Highline consistently invests in his comebacks. The production value and quality of his music videos and albums are still at par with SSE. It wouldn’t hurt to see him represent or be the face of a brand though (Tom Ford are you even listening?).

you know how seventeen and monsta x have been close friend since their debuts? wonho even recently shared Hoshi helped out with this choreo! we know Hoshi is one of seventeen's main choreographers, but this is the first time he's done any choreographing outside of seventeen! their friendship is so precious I'm gonna cry 😭

I absolutely loved this comeback! The base was hypnotizing, I couldn't get this song out of my mind. Also, the MV was so well done, loved the camera work, the colours, the outfits, the choreo - it suits Wonho so much! Also, loved the part of the choreo where it looks like an eye, really clever. Wonho gets better each time and I'm here for it. Definitely in my TOP 10 list this year.

I was holding on to Lose, but I have to admit Eye On You is fighting for favorite title. It just keeps growing in my mind. My appreciation for the video has now grown as well after learning how much work went into the editing. There is so much going on that slowing it down revealed a lot. It does feel like the people who work with him care about what they are doing. I feel that with the dance team as well, and I often cheer for them just as much. I am very impressed with this effort. Wonho continues to show himself as a complete artist, and he is successfully carving out a space for himself in kpop.

Bruh plz Wonho‘s tracks always make me tear up because they straight up feel like ASMR. Idk it scratches my brain. The fact that he makes his own music (and is incredibly skilled) only makes it better because he can be versatile yet still sound like himself. This may sound cliche or corny but I truly believe it's all about Wonho's personality and professionalism. I can imagine working with him in any capacity is a joy and he naturally brings out the best in his team. I am REALLY enjoying watching his evolution and also how he has kept certain elements since the very beginning. His core "classy stripper moves" have been there since debut with Monsta X. And when I heard that Jooheon was helping him learn music production I was like "Ahhhh snap....we aren't ready"....lol. Then when you add in his magical "comeback kid" character arch.....gesssh.... Before Wonho I didn't listen to much kpop, definitely not by a specific artist. I will admit I was drawn to Wonho because of pictures I saw, but I stay with him for his sick music! What a beast!

Wonho’s company Highline being a sister company to Starship kinda feels like they tryna compensate for him having to leave Monsta X by now going above and beyond to make him as successful as he deserves to be but that’s just me, really. Wonho is my absolute happy place. I literally wouldn’t know what I’d do without his almost daily selfies, his smiles, his dozens and dozens of Tiktoks with his dance challenges for his songs and his instagram and vlives. But most importantly I feel like he really got a dedicated production team and is finally able to truly explore his own paths of writing and composing and the fact that he not only wrote the song along side others but also arranged it speaks volumes about his impressive and amazing journey as an artist. He is criminally underrated and I hope people will stop sleeping on this gem of a man!

I love this song so much, when he said it was a Kpop edm I was expecting an edm I would like and he gave it to me. Also felt it gave me more of a western edm pop song, I don't know why but the first time O heard it reminded me of Dua Lipa sound? 😂😂 But now that I listened much much more it's also a very Wonho song I love it. Fun fact, he produces since before debuting in monsta x and he did lots of songs for monsta x álbuns and since he debuted he contributes to all the making of all his songs from all his albums, and not only the songs he's very much in control of all his albums and comebacks he's the whole package, to me one of the biggest soloists from this generation.

Wonho has been producing music for a long time! F.e. he has been credited for arrangement on the MX songs 'From Zero' and 'If Only' and his the song 'Lose'. For his last EP Blue Letter he worked on every song!

Yes, Wonho has been producing/composing songs even back then when he was part of Monsta X. I could see his style and it gets bolder since his debut as a soloist. This is why self-producing idol is top tier, they surprise us with new things. Either you like it or not but it's more interesting. Of course, I love him and his talent.
