I've reading about the next topic, and seems that the Kalashnikov isn't the same as the Löwenthal, but rather similar. Watching this is a little bit confusing for me, the GM talks like those sicilian defenses are the same thing. I'm not a professional, while he is... that's the reason of my confusion, many different opinions. I hope my english was good enough.

The lowenthal is when black doesn't play d6 and allows Nd6+,Bxd6,Qxd6,Qe7/Qf6. Black argues his pawns were going to be stuck on dark squares and wants to trade the bishop off. Unfortunately in the lowenthal black is also strategically forced to trade their light squared bishop for a knight on D5 giving white 2 bishops against 2 knights.

3:40 Why does everyone analyzing this opening just talk about Nc3? Of course it's good for black if white plays subpar moves like that. White will pin your knight with Bg5 instead and then good luck getting your d5 thrust in. You're making your lecture easy on yourself by giving yourself a dumb hypothetical opponent.

Very nice commentary explaining what GMs mean by 'losing the thread of the game a bit'. Harking back to the judgment of what is going to win the game in the current position and the key ideas/elements/squares in understanding the position.
