First time I've seen this movie and as usual, very entertaining, especially with the lovely Paulette Goddard. Ray Milland does an excellent job as does Roland Young as both played their parts well. A great movie to watch again. Joe S

Great movie! Some witty lines, too. They don't seem to write like that any more. And Paulette Goddard is a dream!

Goddard started in the entertainment industry at the age of 13, she was 31-32 when this movie was released. The thing that always bothered me about Goddard is that in every movie she was in, her desire to look at the camera was so strong you can see her strain to look away in every scene. At 4:56 you can see it very clear, not a big deal to most, they just don't notice it. For what ever reason it sticks out like a sore thumb to me. LOL
@michelewarner9312 Жыл бұрын
Sounds like she and Meghan Markle have that same love affair looking into the camera!😅
@kmterpin8 ай бұрын
Not crazy about her voice. And yet she almost won the role of Scarlett O’Hara...maybe she could’ve pulled off a southern twang, but considering how melodious Vivian Leigh’s voice was, am glad Goddard didn’t get the part.

I'm a Goddard by birth. 😢 Never got to find out if my descendants crossed over or were already here. Not that that has anything to do with the movie of course.
