Exactly! Idl why people are so down on the Lakers. Outside of OKC the gap between the 3rd Seed and 11th seed on the west is 5.5 to 6 games. If the Lakers can go on a good stretch run they'll be top 5 maybe even top 4 in the west and won't need the play in game and at that point Outside of OKC I don't think there's a team in the west they can't beat in 7 games

And we’re like a couple of losses away from going back to the 10th seed. Our wins are mostly the result of someone having a great night (AD, Reaves, Knecht and rui sometimes) then good team play. Also, I don’t think we could beat OKC, denver, Dallas and maybe Houston in a 7 game series

The main reason why the Nets made the trade is because D-Lo is an expiring contract. The Grizzlies wanted to give some contacts that lasted for more seasons. DFS had a player option so the Nets could either lose him for nothing or have to keep paying him under the new and restrictive CBA, which they don't really want to.

Max Christie will be the starting 2 guard for LA. Dalton has been good, very good actually, but his defense and streaky shot is what holds him back from starting. Max is more consistent and a infinitely better defender.

I love the trade, but Dlo has got to get his respect man. He’s not an 18/6 on a bad team guy. He’s 18/6 as the 3rd and sometimes fourth option behind two 25ppg scorers. His inconsistency and the fact that Austin Reaves is younger and also can’t defend is why he got traded, but Dlo is a damn good player to have fill out your team or show your young guys the ropes. Dlo didn’t work out with us because he’s not consistent, but people acting like we just gave up some bum and Brooklyn got nothing back is very upsetting to see.

I think the Lakers got better by getting rid of DLO and adding DFS, but calling him an upgrade over DLO is the wrong terminology because they don't remotely play the same position. The upgrade at the PG position is starting Reaves as the distributor. DFS is a 6'7" Forward who plays minutes at the C position during small ball. Maybe you meant Shake Milton? He is a guard and fits the Lakers scheme better although right now DLO is probably a better all around player than Shake Lakers got better and DLO goes back somewhere where he can ballhog and play zero defense and noone will care
