Thank you! That's what they should have done in the 1st place, rebuilding with the kids. 3 of the 4 years Lebron has been with the Lakers have been garbage, so if you're going to be garbage, at least be garbage trying to build a long-term contender, don't simply sell your soul to an aging star for relevancy. People talk about the Lakers fans being spoiled, well, the franchise ownership and front office has also been spoiled. Every team goes through a rebuilding period but once you get through that, if you drafted right, which, the Lakers did draft really well, then you come out of it with a long-term contender, which is what they should have done but didn't, and which they should definitely do now.

I'm not sure there's a good trade available for LeBron. What's the going rate for a GOAT who will be 38 years old? LAL would want a future star or franchise cornerstone, but teams won't wanna give that up for a 1-2 year rental, especially knowing Bron will be off to whoever signs Bronny. I think the thing everyone forgets is LA is not your typical market. They don't NEED to acquire a star via draft or trade. It's Los Angeles, a historic franchise. Players will want to go there to be the city's next star. So who's a free agent in 2023? 2024? 2025? That's likely the Lakers cornerstone after LeBron. My inkling is since there's not a good trade both teams would want for Bron, LA will have to hold onto him, he'll still draw fans and keep the city semi-relevant, and then when all these players come off the books, LAL will buy their next franchise player. Zion? Could Embiid get weary of Philly and want out? Maybe Jokic tire of Denver? Memphis decide Ja Morant isn't the guy they wanna build around? I don't know. But LAL will always be an attractive free agent market, and in the meantime many players will still wanna play in LA and with Bron. Lakers will do whatever deals they can with their current roster, maybe trading AD too. So I expect nearly everyone to be gone except LeBron. Might just be Westbrook, AD and Bron as the only holdovers, just cuz there aren't good trades available for Westbrook, and they hope to build AD's trade value, cuz right now the league knows he's Mr Glass. They'll merely try to turn a profit in 2023, and then dump salary and go big in 2024 buying free agents.

saving the lakers doesnt necessarily require trading lebron. theres another path, but its expensive. it's buying out russell westbrook and then attracting someone in free agency (which is easy for the lakers)
@romanmartinez40082 жыл бұрын
You know that buying Russell won’t do anything cause buying out his contract means that they will still have to pay a large portion of 44 mil which will affect their salary cap of which they are already above so the idea of bringing in a big free agent is delusional
@visno2 жыл бұрын
@@romanmartinez4008 a buyout can reduce the cap hit based on what they agree the cost to the buyout to be is, and that can be reduced against the annual cap hit with the stretch provision that allows waived contracts to be spread out over a longer period of time.
@romanmartinez40082 жыл бұрын
@@visno be realistic, Russell won’t go less than 26-30 mil and he has next year pay as well which will be the stretch (if he agrees to) the lakers already have a max contract in Davis and Lebron so what other big free agent will you hope for ? Won’t have any cap space for that unless they do the same thing as 2020 and get cheap 1 year deals on players looking to prove their worth
@visno2 жыл бұрын
@@romanmartinez4008 depends how far they’re willing to stretch that buyout amount and what the amount is. they won’t necessarily have the cap room to sign a max level free agent but they will certainly have enough room to sign someone in that “not quite an all star” tier like a jerami grant or myles turner tier guy around that 17-23 million a year type of contract. typically for a contending team you need 2 and a half good players. swapping westbrook for a less talented piece that fits better could get the job done.

LeBron is only a franchise player for one more season, so you can look at it two ways: 1. Run it back and try to win one last championship. 2. Blow it up and trade LeBron, AD and Russ. This gets all those picks back, and gets you max value in players, as well. I don't think they should trade their role players, but jf they did, THT has been disappointing. Almost the whole roster is on a one-year contract, so do whatever it takes to keep Malik Monk The old vets can walk, except Melo. Opt in on Stanley Johnson and Austin Reaves' club options. I still think you trade Russ no matter what and he already said he wants to leave. So even if you choose option 1, run it back, just trade Russ/THT for that Wall/Christian Wood package. Do the pick swap if it gets it done. Amazing Houston offered this and Pelinka turned it down. Everyone thought the Rockets were demanding the pick outright. That said, it's a freakin' 2027 pick, id!ot! Any way you slice, the pick is only useful for trades and this is your #1 most urgent trade needed. 💁🏻♂️🏀

if Lebron gets traded without his consent, He'll seek a buyout and then sign with the team he wants. Money is not a problem for him. That's why I believe trading for Lebron won't work unless he approves. Plus, don't know how much he has left in the tank. What if you give away your future for him and he falls off the cliff real fast.

Bron has snaked teammates before, this would be total karma

@@TreWimsical Teams have been snaking players since before Lebron was born. The shit that is happening now with AD, Harden and Simmons is total karma.

Even though there were in like 3 dark periods i don’t really care about the lakers. A lot of teams only had one or two hall of famers and only have a few championships. The lakers are a lucky team to have so much top 50 hall of famers so I don’t think it’s bad if they get bad for a few years. Also I am not throwing hate at your video it’s just I hope another team gets the spotlight.

Good or had Jerry West running the franchise personal department and coaching.

the Lakers were able to lure Kareem because they respected West and Wilt in their twilight. The same thing happened with Karem and Magic, that's why they were able to take Shaq. trading Lebron is the fast track to becoming the Knicks.

L.A should try one more shot at this, try not trading Russ or Lebron. Wait for the Trade deadline and see how well they do.

I think the Pelicans trade proposal was a great idea for Bron...especially if they are facing losing their team.

it is all about the MONEY bro..... no matter which team he at... he will just play for good few seasons and then the drama starts. each team he joined in, it ends up being ruin. and what a big lost to the team management and finances.

ye orlando isnt ganng trade bol bol for someone who is dropping 30 like lets be honest if he's gets back on the court he''s dropping 60 ppg

People keep saying Westbrook can’t be traded because of his contract…but he’s been traded three years in a row. Seems to work out! Also not sure the Cavs should trade for LeBron either - surely they’d have to give up too much talent to get him. I’d do the last trade though - especially for the Bulls.

Lmao...he has 1 year on his contract. He stated he going where his Goes. At best he's a 6 month rental for a 1st round pick.

He will be a laker for 2 more seasons , he is essentially telling the Lakers and or the cavs to draft Bronnie and or also trying to elevate his sons draft stock bc whoever does draft Bronnie would also get LeBron and he is still producing. Likely a 20point 10 assist and 5 rebound guy at 40 years old which is scary .
