You aren‘t too bright for falling for it a second time either and your female relative probably doesn‘t have much too lose and more to gain by being divorced so it makes sense that she got divorced 3-4 times already if she gets half of the man‘s wealth (they probably had more to lose than her every single time I assume since women date up most of the time).

One thing crappy missed on the mortgage side: if she has bad credit when you get married (which most women do because they cannot manage their spending) then you won’t be able to use her income when applying for a mortgage. If you need her income to apply for a McMansion, then her bad credit will bring your score down and you will have to pay more in interest because your loan is more risky. Another reason to never get married as a man.

This is the problem. People don't know what marriage is. They think it's just sharing furniture with someone you really like until you don't. If people don't understand what it is because society has redefined it into oblivion, it's no wonder why people don't bother to take it seriously.

Aaron, an idea to solve the west’s demographic collapse is to make it easier to bring foreign brides (and kids) back to the US but not allow them to no fault divorce and no citizenship until kids are 18 and American citizens. It’s a steady stream of potential citizens, who appreciate normal expectations, can pay into the system, and prevent excessive wealth transfer out of the US. It ain’t perfect and it will be abused. US women will hate it but hopefully the powers that be will realize they’ll never be happy and them being here still increases economic production.

Marriage only has a purpose for children. The "companionate marriage" was proffered in the 1920s, which was essentially no-fault divorce, but only if there were no children. "With us, all this has been absolutely changed. The clear and almost effected tendency of to-day is to consider that the marriage relation makes no difference whatever in the status of the two married persons, except to affect the descent of their property after death, and to make it a penal offence for the husband to refuse to support his wife." --The Ethics of Democracy by F.J. Stimson. Scribner’s Magazine (1887) "…this curious confirmation of the old French economist’s cynical reason for marriage that it is an institution made necessary by property, and designed for its protection and preservation alone.” -----The Ethics of Democracy by F.J. Stimson. Scribner’s Magazine (1887)
