@DeuDeoEgo6 ай бұрын
@@eraserreal again, you are wrong: people went to see Madonna and only Madonna in Copacabana. Her concert was NOT linked to any special occasion other than Madonna herself. In fact the artist you refer to that I have never heard of was invited to play for a concert celebrating the 850th birthday of Moscow. People would have been there regardless. The same goes with Rod Stewart: people would have attended the new year's eve party in Copacabana regardless of Rod Stewart. That's why Madonna's Rio concert makes history with the largest standalone crowd.
@MikePhillips-pl6ov6 ай бұрын
You can't count public/free concerts where anyone who lives in the area will turn up regardless of who the artist is. Paid/ticketed concerts are what counts. Madonna may have had 1.6m but so have others, too, and other artists will do that again. So there is nothing unique about Madonna's concert, impressive as the number is. Though, hers is not even no.1 on the list. As for you saying you have never heard of the artist mentioned for the Moscow concert, you show your musical ignorance, which weakens your argument and shows your bias for Madonna. It may have been a concert for Moscow, but it was called The Oxygene Tour, i.e. named for that one artist, so people were coming to see him, regardless of what you claim. And that was more than double Madonna's number. Finally, as this article says, ALL these free concerts are wildly exaggerated. Madonna's concert (and others) could have been closer to 1 million. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_most-attended_concerts
