@@BrianSmith-jx7td aboriginal dogs like tibetan mastiff turkish kangal alabai or caucasian shepherd were bred to withstand mùch tougher conditions and were used as nomadic and shepherd dogs to kill wolves for milenia plus they are athletic dogs for their size..American molossus is just a mix of already morphologically ruined exaggerated breeds like neapolitan mastiff and english and they can only withstand a walk from couch to fridge..

That's not a Molossus! It's just a Neopolitan! A Molossus would be a fight and lean mastiff built for guarding, hunting and warfare.

@@eddie-g1996I’m Happy to discuss anytime. All breeds started out including the Cane CORSO you reference. The breed is relatively new as an AKC breed and although has a nice historic story behind it, it too was created not too long ago using a combo of Rottweiler, Pitbull and Neo. I’m glad to have brought this wonderful breed back. I absolutely love them. They aren’t for everyone but I’m proud of them. Yes some are more extreme than others but will improve overtime 😊

if it happens once in a blue moon, by a fluke - it probably won't hurt anything if one dog "raids" the other dog's food dish, but if you can keep them separated when they get fed it's definitely better. Dogs that otherwise get along can get into real squabbles over "food raids" by other dogs and there is no need for that. Also, you don't want them to overeat. Large dogs are more prone to gastric torsion than smaller dogs and it can kill them, it usually doesn't but it can (twisting of the stomach after eating). I like to split my dogs' meals into two smaller meals per day.

Her line is English Mastiff, French Mastiff and Italian Presa along with great dane the Albai. Working breed revival. Thank you for offering the diet yes id like to know but she is over a year now.

People think that in ancient times times Molossus looked like the dogs in this video!? In fact this type of dogs were not to compare with the Molossus of ancient Mesopotamia. The American Molossus is just a imposant dog but have totally not the build and stamina of the ancient Molossus! They looked more like the Bully Kutta than this over sized show models. When you see the statues of the ancient Molossus we never see this American breed. My father had a giant Mastino Napolitano similar sized as these dogs but it was only lay down in the living room for 23 hours a day .Everyone can make their own choice but I would never choose such a dog! By the way these are just a cross breed between a Olde English Mastiff and The Italian Mastiff , or am I missing other breeds?

Both the modern English and neopolitan mastiff are the laziest/least active of all mastiff breeds so if it can get to the Pitt in the first 2 minutes, maybe. Otherwise a real game bred pit would run circles around it then get it's throat or muzzle

Yeah at a full grow one is only 120 to 150 pound so I don't believe some one have a 6 month old one that weight at 170 180 pound why that dog grow to there 3 to 5 years old that would mean it would be like 320 to 340 pounds because most dog double in size from 6 month to full grown and a cane is only 130 pound and great dane 170 pounds
