It's been said regarding Travis Hunter, "an average player on two different positions ". There's a reason why he wasn't able to take over a game in the way Jeanty has been able to do.. Ultra talented generational players have been able to do just that.. take over a game and win.. Michael Jordan? Many times, like a Barry Sanders, a Randy White, a Tom Brady, a Deacon Jones, a mean Joe Greene.. the names go on and on.. And lately Ashton Jeanty. College football might be too shortsighted to recognize his special talents, 130 yards short of Barry Sanders,… But the NFL will. I've been watching football since the mid-60s, that goes back to Roger Staubach days. I've never seen a player since Barry S in the house of College sports till now that compares to Aston Jeanty. He's number four on the all-time list already. If you were coaching an NFL team and you had a player like Travis Hunter you would probably trade him for two better defensive backs and corner to improve your game because he's not a shut down corner, or defensive back that would compare to the great names. However, if you had a Barry sanders in the backfield or an Ashton Jeanty you wouldn't trade him for anyone...

Ashton Jeanty for the Heisman. If he doesn't win it will be politics. The last person not from Notre Dame or a Power Five conference to win was Roger Staubach, a quarterback from the United States Naval Academy. He won the award in 1963

Something that gets lost in the shuffle is that Ashton sat out 4 quarters in the 13 games he played or he would have already broken Barry Sanders record, for some reason this doesn't get talked about with all the Heisman talk. What records has Hunter broke or what statistical category is he leading? In my opinion if you're the "best" in college football you lead in stats not reps.

I hope the voters give the Heisman to Hunter so the world can watch Jeanty break Barry's record in the Fiesta Bowl and wonder why he didn't win. Regardless of whether Jeanty or Hunter wins, Jeanty's college legacy will be talked about much longer than Hunter's
