Operation toss the orange raft out to sea would be a nice addition to season 3! Doing it early in the play through would be better as you will have more time to find it. Imagine the first time you get the gyro up and running again and fly over an abandoned island only to notice a bright orange old friend stranded on the beach!

He didn't attack you because you weren't standing ontop of the bouy, he will grab you with his tenticles if your ontop of the bouy.

What I think would be neat is if in the water, it attempted to grab you, but if you stood on the buoy or a boat, it'd cling onto the bottom and give you a Kraken style battle, and once it knocked you in the water it would swim at you again.Further more, if you stood on a raft or boat, it would attempt to break it by squeezing it with the tentacles, meaning either come with a very strong boat, or prepare for it to sink. After some time fighting its tentacles, it would dislodge and start swimming laps, meaning you have to go down and attack it to bring it back up again.

I can send you my custom island, I spend lots of reflexions on it and it's just super cool to me. Smaller than your main island though, but very functionnal, lots of sharks, not too easy, just an enhanced experience of stranded deep. I don't know if you want to make a new season for the 0.48 version, but if you do, I can e-mail it to you.

I really wish they added more and larger ships. A cruise ship that you can progressively explore the further you are in the game, like in Subnautica. Maybe aircraft carriers, submarines, container ships etc.

I think it didn't attack for 1 of 2 reasons. 1) you were not on the buoy or 2) your attacks interrupted its attacks.

Spoiler (maybe).. I'm playing on PS4 and I came across a huge shipwreck on an island. Inside the shipwreck is a plane that you need to fix and stock up with food and water. I believe that is the end game and the reason for the propeller part.

I just started playing this on Xbox one and I’ve died twice trying to fight this thing. When I go in the water it grabs me and causes a bleeding effect and every time I try to put a bandage on it whacks next or grabs me again. It’s so insanely hard watching this really upset me lol

I dont know why hes not trying to bite you I couldnt fight him in the water but for anyone fighting him now pull up to the buoy anchor and when you make contact with your spear run to the buoy and spear him again and jump back on the boat and repeat. He attacks from where you throw the spear

There is a end, you beat all three bosses, and then have a series of quests to build a plane, you try and fly away and you hit the plane that you start on in the beginning cutscene and then credits roll, basically you escaping starts a loop Edit: that's why he got the aircraft propeller, he just did the other parts before the escape update was released

I think doing a season 3 is a big mistake at this point, since barely anything has really changed in the game. It will just be a repetitive rehash of what you've done so far. Rather than abandon all that you've worked for, I feel it would be much more interesting to jump the shark and go to the next level with this world. Expand your base, populate other islands, make an empire etc. I don't see how starting a new game will be interesting, unless you add a twist to it.
