They're actually Canadian, since the St. Thomas Plant where the Crown Vics were built was in Southwold, Ontario. But, still. It is very sad. She was the last classic body-on-frame, rear-wheel drive V8 sedan.

Sorry I didn't realize. Do you know if the plant closed or making other ford models. ?
@jamesbowden48717 жыл бұрын
No worries. We're in this together as far as I'm concerned, given how most GM and Ford vehicles sold in Canada and the United States were assembled in one country or the other -- with parts built in both countries -- because of the Auto Pact. I'm not sure if the St. Thomas Plant still exists, but Ford no longer builds anything there at all.

The Ford Crown Victoria's tenure from 1992 to 2011 certainly left an indelible mark on the automotive landscape and popular culture. Its robust design and versatile applications, particularly in law enforcement and as a reliable sedan, made it an enduring presence on the roads. As we reflect on its legacy, we appreciate the memories, the service it provided, and the unique role it played in various industries. The Crown Victoria's 29-year run will undoubtedly be remembered fondly by many. Thank you for your service, Crown Vic.

God I miss mine. Rarely ever had to take it to the shop and when I did it was a hour or two tops and usually under a hundred bucks. Only time it stayed over was for an engine swap (312k miles). Old girl lived through four snowstorms, drove cross country, countless miles thrown on her, and ultimately gave her life to protect me in a head on collision I walked away from with no more then a headache and a broken heart lol. A legendary vehicle.
@StephenB587 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for posting this video. It is with a heavy heart that I watch this video. I'm 64 years old. I have a 2011 Crown Victoria. Mine is gray, but like the one in this video, I have the same rims and mine is also flex fuel like the one in the video. I hope to be able to keep mine until I die. I wouldn't take anything for it, except, maybe a 2010 Grand Marquis, or maybe a 2011 Town Car. And I would basically be getting what I already have. There is not a car made anywhere else on earth I would rather have than what I already have. Are you listening, or reading this, Ford Motor Company? To the people at Ford Motor Company who may actually see this comment, let me tell you a little story. Okay, my father died this past January, 2016. He was a World war II veteran. I'm a disabled Navy veteran. Anyway, he was, and along with me, members of a nearby Disabled American Veterans. About ten or twelve years ago, we went to a DAV meeting. At the time, Daddy had a 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis. When we got to the meeting, along with our Grand Marquis, we were among 14, or 15, maybe even 16, or more Grand Marquis', Lincoln Town cars, and Crown Victorias . There weren't more than five or six other cars that weren't the three cars I just mentioned. It looked like we were making a TV commercial for Ford Motor Company. To Ford Motor Company, you have no idea just how much you have hurt so many millions of Americans who were loyal customers. I can name almost a dozen men and women who traded there old Chevrolet Caprices, or Cadillac Fleetwoods for Crown Victorias, Grand Marquis', and Town Cars. I know of one woman who recently traded her Grand Marquis for a Fusion. She liked her Grand Marquis better. Her sister has a Crown Victoria, which she traded in an old Caprice for it. In 1987 my parents bought a new Grand Marquis. In 1991, they traded it in on a '91 Grand Marquis. In 1997, they bought a new Grand Marquis; but kept the '91. Mother died in June of 2000. In the summer of 2001, Daddy bought a 2001 Grand Marquis. In around May of 2009, Daddy and I drove down to Panama City, Florida, to the dealership we had been trading with. The car had around 100,000 miles on it. It didn't use any oil. Ran like new. handled like new. Got fairly decent gas mileage. WE DIDN'T GO THERE TO TRADE!!! Some salesman drove up in a 2008 Grand Marquis. We fell in love and traded. They sold that 2001 before we were through filling out the paperwork for the 2008. In may of 2012, we drove back down to the dealership...NOT TO TRADE. The 2008 Grand Marquis then had around 60,000 miles on it. The tires were beginning to get a little slick. It was beginning to take a little longer to stop the car. The tires still had a fairly decent amount of tread on them. WE DIDN'T GO THERE TO TRADE!!! We just went down there to "trade for" new tires. We didn't go there to trade. And some salesman drove up in this 2011 Crown Victoria, like the one in this video. Except it was gray. We fell in love again and traded. I hope to be able to keep this 2011 Crown Victoria until I die. Maybe I can be buried in it.

I am in depression. I have lost 3 very dear aunts to cancer in 1 year. All three, gone in an instant. I love Ford vehicles. I love each and every one like a dear family member to me. ESPECIALLY the Crown Victoria. Who can ever forget the most famous and popular car for all the police interceptors, and NYC taxi cabs? Ford Co. I love you guys, but you took a serious piece of my heart. I have lost one of my most favorite and dependable vehicles. I will never be the same without the Crown Victoria. A great, American car, so long lasting, sharp looking, and classy. I really always loved seeing the Crown Victorias driving around. There is still some around, but they're fading fast. This vehicle. This hero, this dear friend to me, has now, along with my family, been taken from me. I feel I have really lost something very close to my heart, and I will never be the same. God Bless you Crown Victoria. May you forever rest in everlasting peace. Thank you for everything you have done

wally12345na I was in New York a week ago and I saw a lot of Crown Victoria's as taxis and some as police interceptors I was amazed and it made me happy that many crown vic's are still in service. I understand you m8. soon it will be the 7 year anniversary of my grandpa's death he meant a lot to me and my mom. everyone loved him a day he died on 2009 November 29th. when my mom got her first car it was the 2000 Mercury grand marquis Ls (or the crown vic .to me they are so similar so I just think of them as the same) and my grandpa drove it first. once he even tried to race a Mustang and got pulled over by a crown vic.(a crown vic pulling over a grand marquis of the same year lol) and avoided a ticket by saying I will never do this again. the family going to Mexico in that car all the time and my mom was very protective of the car and my grandpa didn't give a shit. I didn't exist until late a year after buying the car, buy we still went everywhere in that car to Yosemite, seqouia, everywhere especially to Mexico . in the state we go to Mexico spsificly (sinaloa) there are many marquis and crown vic's we loved it's trunk size put all of our shit there it was fun. and when my grandpa died we buried him in the same ranch in Mexico where we grew up. and we also took the marquis to go there. that car I grew up in many memories in that car many trips this was the family car for many many years until late 2013 when we got a Honda Pilot but we still use the marquis. for a year we didn't use it due to a/c problems and it would get really hot in California so we didn't use it for a whole summer season. but that reliable 4.6 v8 engine with year old oil and gas still ran with a new battery. I'm glad that I'm now the owner of this car. this car was sentimental to me and my mom and was her first car now that same car is my first car. I love this car and would never trade it for anything else also I feel you I was also in depression and still depressed over many things and just recently my great grandma (mother of my grandpa I was talking about) died 3 days ago. I feel like shit but remember many memories of the past. also sorry for your loss. also like another comment said crown vic's are cheap and affordable

It was another 4 door body on frame car, available in sedan, station wagon or as a ute (pickup), V8 or inline 6, ever reliable with some examples doing over 1,000,000kms as Taxis, Police cars and daily drivers.
