Great vid Sandro. You really summed up my thoughts on TLC in this fantastic review. I completely agree that TLC is especially great on microfiber. The way the lubricants are able to so evenly spread across the surface without any sort of pad/machine resistance is what makes it so unique versus everything else on the market. Makes me wonder why none of these big product manufactures have been able to create something this good. Plus it smells great too! Thanks again Sandro👍

Great video, Sandro! I've had this compound since its early release and i love it! I posted your review in detailer buddies on facebook. Not sure if you're a member. On a side note, I find TLC doesn't finish very well on soft black paint, but as you said, there's no one perfect compound.

Bloody hell Sandro your killing me with all these new compounds :)...I might try this when I run down my other stocks...This looks a good product. I still have faith in Scholls, Menzerna Compounds. I won't believe it doesn't dust till I use it in all environmental conditions especially heat and humidity we have up north...Heard that too many times. It's good to see the makers thinking outside the box sort of like the Solution Finish people. Hopefully by the time I'm ready to buy some I will be able to get from a local distributor. How much did it cost send me a sample I'll pay for it and the postage :) xxx
@Relentless0neFPS6 жыл бұрын
As for me I'll have to run my stock down as well. That will take some time. Not sure if I should just stick to Polish Angel or give this a go. Was your sample hard paint? Damn Beemer paint is hard and now I can tell it takes some good passes to get imperfections out. Nice thing is I have you and your videos to steer me to the right equipment before I spend my money. You do know that some high profile detailer's make you spend money on classes for this kind info. Granted they are hands on to some point, but your videos and what you say are very , should I say... detailed!? Lol. Thanks again Sandro!

@zenon30216 жыл бұрын
quick question: if you don't have access to a garage can you do all this compounding and polishing outdoors (ie. in your driveway)? Or is there too much dust and debris in the air that'll end up scratching your paint?
@zenon30216 жыл бұрын
Once you compound away the swirls, do you have a rough estimation how long they'll stay gone for? I'm a mobile car detailer with dreams of going the compounding route. But so far the most I've done is: -full interior -wash -fallout remover -clay towel (aka. paint decontamination towel) -wax (with Collinite) My goal is to start going around the car 2x with a high-speed polisher :)
@c6z0616 жыл бұрын
I find it miserable to polish outdoors. Not because of the sun, but more so the dust that falls onto the paint. Even if you can't see it, it's still probably there. In my opinion, a clean garage makes a HUGE difference!!!! Better lighting potential and less prone to dust. I've stopped polishing outdoors because I find it counterproductive. Clean garage or nothing!

Hey Sandro how is TLC on soft paint? im polishing my black Honda Shadow motorcycle and i have alot of swirls and scratches in all of the chrome and the black paint after i stupidly dust wiped my motorcycle when i was 16 since i had apsolutly no exsperience back then so i made a hell of alot of work for myself. I also dont have a pain measure gauge so is little worried about using heavy compound.
@markusbendi6 жыл бұрын
i used carpro microfiber pad with carpro fixer on Rupes mini and i was able to remove most of the light scratches very fast but on the chrom it is much harder to remove scratches witch is pretty normale but i want to remove more of the heavyer scratches in the paint also and im not sure how much clearcoat is actuly on there but it seems pretty soft.

Hi Sando How does this compare to Concours Precision Compound?
@kasparov96 жыл бұрын
Ok well, I have a Mazda 3 2008 MPS. The metropolitan grey paint has swirls, holograms, and stubborn water spots. I've purchased a shine mate 12mm DA, and have bought 3 yellow shine mate foam pads, 2 are flat with 1 being diamond shaped cutout. And also 3 Shine Mate green Heavy cutting flat foam pads. I've purchased both the Precision and last cut compound. So which pads should I use and which compound? Since you mentioned foam pads more so with Precision. I don't have any microfiber pads. Will the precision also give me excellent results in terms of defect removal? Are the green pads too aggressive for what I'm trying to achieve and can I use either green or yellow pads with The Last Cut with good results? Thanks Max
@kasparov96 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the response, you mean Finesse Compound? I'm meaning to use CarPro Essence to Polish with after the compound stage. I do have a few deep cuts around the car that I will try and get out. What's the risk with going with a more aggressive compound? I don't see this information anywhere. Is it that you're just eating into the clear coat unnesessarily?
@kasparov9376 жыл бұрын
Car Craft Auto Detailing Should I bother with the blue pads? Im afraid of using up an extra $30 for 3 pads that the yellow ones could have done anyway. I have some red diamond shine mate for the polishing part.

Yeah I watched the DETALKSCAST with Jace explaining things to the Rag Co. It's a good watch. I've found the GG BOSS Fast Corr Cream really tackles everything I've thrown at it. I've not even needed to follow with GG BOSS Perfecting Cream as I yet to have any haze. After correction, I do a no pressure, faster arm speed, 2 pass finishing section...and it's all been awesome. I mainly use LC Orange Force or Meg's MF cutting disks. I am about to do my personal Imola Red BMW Z4M vert and was just wanting to try out something new to test the GGFCC against on some nice hard paint. I am about to put in a big pad order with DI ( 25% off LC pads this weekend ) and put Jascar CC 32oz on my order. Maybe next time I'll get the TLC.

The more I’ve used TLC, don’t bother using it on medium-soft, to soft paint. Doesn’t finish well.
@c6z0616 жыл бұрын
Car Craft Auto Detailing some Japanese, but here in the states, newer GM flat black paint is soft too. I use a variety of machines and pads. I’d much rather use s20 black instead, as it cuts pretty good and finishes noticeably better on all paint systems. If I want heavy defect removal, might as well use clear cut followed by essence or another finishing polish.
