I’ll never get used to seeing a 747, takes my breath away every time I see her. An absolute magnificent aircraft.

Agreed, a beautiful sight. I flew on a 747 just once. In August of 1971. 747’s were quite new then. My parents and I spent the entire summer of 71 in California. Going everywhere from Tijuana to Disneyland. The one thing I had wished for most of the year prior while mom and dad were planning the trip, was a ride on a 747 as my first flight. We were flying in and out of San Diego, it was too small then for the new jumbo’s. It was still the dream of a lifetime for a 9 year old. My dad had to return in early August to get back to work at Ford. My mom and I spent the rest of the month, as we had the entire trip, staying with my aunt and her family. The good times were over the end of August, and mom and I had to get back and get ready for the school year. On our flight out in June, we had a stop in Chicago, but this time my mom told me we were flying through LAX. it didn’t matter to me. When we landed in L.A., instead of staying on board, we had to switch flights for our trip back to DTW. As we made our way through the jammed concourse, it became clear to me why we changed our itinerary. When we approached the agent desk, I could see taxiing up to the jetway a new A.A. 747. My mom seeing my reaction said “surprise!”. After my dad arrived back home, he pulled a few strings, and even though it cost more, arranged for mom and I to return in style. Looking out the window at the plane, I thought that thing would never take off. Our trip was exciting from my window seat. The one thing I was hoping to see was the 2nd floor lounge. The stewardess disappointed us, telling us it was first class only. She said there was a lounge at the rear of the plane if we wanted to see that. I had to use the rest room, so my mom said to go back and take a look. As I made my way to the rear of the plane, I noticed there were dividers, floor to ceiling, like in first class. I walked through into something I wasn’t expecting. There was an entire lounge at the rear with club chairs, end tables with chrome mushroom shaped lamps, and a full size bar with a bartender against the rear wall. I used the rest room, then went back to get my mom. She didn’t believe me, but was just as surprised when we got back there. The stewardess said we could sit anywhere, and took our order. I had a Coke, and mom her usual whiskey sour. We sat looking out the windows at the Grand Canyon, sipping on our straws. Soon enough it was time to land. My dad was waiting at the gate with a huge smile. “Well, how was it?”. I told him it was the best part of the trip. He said he could have saved a whole lot of money flying us out and back. Those were the days when people dressed up to fly. Now you deal with drunks wearing flip flops. It was much better then.

3 Saudi aircraft but they weren't invited. Because of human rights and Kashogi killing.

Empty planes, where are these mafia freaks, plenty of footage of personal appearances when they arrived but no where to be seen on departure, very odd
