These kind of games that leave me respect the gaming industry more and more. Fumito Ueda is a guy who is making an art and an experience you won't find elsewhere, I highly respect this guy and i love his works so much. I know this game will last in my memory for decades exactly same as SOTC and ICO did long time ago. Waiting for another refresh to gaming industry and gaming experience with the last guardian for 100 % sure and I will leave this world with their shooter games alone forever

Off the top of my head I can think of 10 games that left me feeling emotional during the game or by the end of the game. 1--ICO. 2--Shadow Of The Colossus. 3--D. 4--D2. 5--Heart Of The Alien. 6--Majin & The Forsaken Kingdom. 7--Journey. 8--Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons. 9--Overblood. 10--The Last Guardian. Okay, I haven't played "The Last Guardian" yet. But I already know with 100% confidence that I will need some tissue next to me when I do. lol

There are barely any details and we still don't know what the hell this game is about so your judgement about this game is a bit exaggerated. I love Shadow of the Colossus, in fact, it's my favourite game of all time but I am still not sure about The Last Guardian. Time will tell.

***** It looks like an amalgamation of concepts from Ico and Shadow of the Colossus,it looks as an Ueda project through and trough,it has more heart than any game out there and it looks to have the most advanced animation an A.I.Systems out there,that's all the details you need.It'll play in a similar way to SOTC only this time instead of slaying giant beasts you go on a journey of bonding with one,what else do you need to know.Some of you people should try to use your brain tofill in some blanks from time to time instead of having to get everything spelled out for you.People like you are the reason developers spoil so much in their trailers nowadays...No offense.It applies to all those idiots that still keep asking 'what do you do exactly' in games like No Man's Sky and Dreams and I'm frankly tired of this idiotic notion where if you're not shooting something it's not gameplay. /sigh

that bird dog animations are incredible to render fur in a game is one of the hardest things to do look how the fur is casting real time shadows everywhere. nothing in gaming outside of bloodborne big bosses can touch it

If you haven't played "Majin & The Forsaken Kingdom", you might want to. It's a bonding game with a boy & a big creature. It has nice artwork & lots of exploration. And it's super cheap since no one cared about it when it came out. Might as well make use of that PS3. lol

OMG.....so much detail is going into this game. Especially with the boy & Trico. Just look how real it feels when the boy is rubbing Trico's head but he keeps almost loosing his balance because Trico's face keeps bumping into the boys body. And when Trico is lying in the shadows you can see the middle part of his body moving up & down giving us the impression that Trico really is breathing. And the look on Trico's face when the boy is about to pull out the spear from Trico's body. It's obvious that this game truly needed the extra time it has taken to get all this down correctly. It's going to be a very emotional & epic game. Well worth the long wait.

This is a team based open world game! That means those caverns and castle areas you can reach, but neither your player or his creature Trico can reach them without joining forces. Both of them are needed to ever explore this game. By the way all those open areas you see, Trico can go there...

With its immanent release and The Last Guardian being a 10/10, I sense a legendary-status for the game (which it already has because of its troubled development). The only thing Sony really needs is to break-even on this game and then they can add this masterpiece to the mountain of other masterpieces they released/developed over the years. In the long run this is more valuable than selling big numbers with this game. Only need to break-even on it. The rest will be taken care of.

Why do people keep comparing The Last Guardian gameplay to action and FPS games and say that it's boring? The Last Guardian is just like Ico and Journey. It's supposed to be aesthetically pleasing, show off gorgeous visuals, and paint a story in the player's mind. If The Last Guardian wanted to be Call of Duty, Trico would have a turret gun attached to its back.

I know they are not supposed to be that closely connected but I think it would be awesome if Trico turns out to be the 17th colossus somehow. It only needs to be a slight hint in the game and it'll be enough. I don't even think they would need to explain why he didn't need to be taken down in SotC. And it would fit the title of "The Last Guardian" really well; or at least, that is if Trico is the last guardian and not the boy. I wouldn't be surprised if even that goes unanswered. And I'm totally fine with that.

Sometimes knowing the outcome isn't a bad thing. We all know that the wicked witch of the west will die by the end of "The Wizard Of Oz", & that Dorthy will have to leave her new friends, but that doesn't stop us from loving the movie anyway. It's the journey that matters. And that can't be more true than with this game. After playing "Brothers: A Tale Of Two Sons", I'm ready for another game to pull at my heart strings. "The Last Guardian" will do that without question. lol

You know I want this game to be so much, but I am trying really hard to not let myself be devoured by my hopes for it's deep connection and/or explanation of the prior games. I loved Shadow of The Colossus too much and Ico too (even though the play style didn't fit me as well as the later SOTC I can respect and still enjoy it wholly as it is magnificent), and in this curiosity and hope that The Last Guardian will elaborate something (anything!), honestly, I turn in bed at night needing to know, "What are the light and dark forces; Do they mean something and have rules of use and existence, or are they just symbols?" and, "why are the characters so small in contrast to real humans; Is there more to the the culture? Where are the cities? Who is Lord Emon, more than the few detail we have already about him; And the guards? Is there a polytheistic system that Dormin fits into?" I have to stop, because I can go on. This is only because I think there is so much potential for such a beautiful and eerie world that is this series. Even though I want to know the answers I can admit as well, however that part of what has made it so beautiful is that It is so undefined and eerie: that we have these questions to ask. I am willing to venture far enough to confess that, although I was not aware of it, the openness was probably one of the most important things in keeping the hype/concern/interest alive in most of us: including myself. Its frustrating but you wont forget it. For example, Tolkien's material was fascinating for the same reason, as it never gave you a full view of everything that was happening, and for a world so large, even with the Hobbit, the Lord of The Rings, the Unfinished tales, the Children of Hurin, etc... it kept you knowing so much but still gazing at the horizon of information that you knew existed but couldn't reach. That is until his son published all his unfinished notes and works as the Silmarillion and other volumes going into great detail of whole ages and the battles, events, deaths, and people that existed within them. This was just as satisfying or MORE to know EVERYTHING, but once you know everything the fun and thrill is truly over, except for reminiscing and continuations which simply jade or turn sour fast. In conclusion , I guess I still want answers to my burning questions, and to have everything connected and tied up with pretty ribbons, but If that means an early burial and a tainted memory of something I love, then I'll take the mystery and the slow reveal (or no reveal) and stay along for the journey.

The boy is telling the story ( as an old man ) so we know the boy doesn't die. However, that doesn't mean something can't happen in real time that is not part of a flashback. In fact I strongly believe that's exactly what will happen. The game will have a lot of surprises that none of us are going to see coming. Some of those surprises will delight fans, & some won't. That's just the way it goes. All I know is I have never been so excited for a game as much as I am for "The Last Guardian".

MarioDeSanta97 Since the boy is telling the story as an old man, that means you are playing the game in flashback. It's safe to assume that Trico is already dead when you first start the game. In fact, I think the boy is forced to kill Trico at some point. That would be shocking, but it would also make the game way more memorable. It's too predictable to have Trico die from a boss battle or from trying to help the boy. Of course it's also possible that the boy believes that Trico is dead, only to discover after telling the story, that Trico is indeed still alive. Whatever happens, you can be certain that Fumito Ueda & his team have many surprises in store concerning this game. Not all of those surprises are going to go over with everyone. But that's just the way it goes. I'm convinced I will love the game regardless if some things in it will annoy me. It will be a great emotional ride.
