The Last Homely Garden gets a POND! Digging, lining, filling ... making a WILDLIFE POND #6

I am so excited to share this video with you! I have been thinking about this project for YEARS! Finally, everything came together and in less than a week my good friend Anth, with a little hinderance from me, transformed a wet, muddy patch of ground into a magnificent Wildlife Pond.
This is Part ONE and you will see the pond being created to the point of starting to fill it with water in a very unique way. When my Garden Team and Anth have spent some more time helping me to establish more features around this place I will make Part TWO so this is a very good reason to have the notification bell switched ON so you don't miss future updates. I don't know when that will be so please, if you have enjoyed this video, don't miss the next part.
The music in this video is from Epidemic Sound and is called 'Swaying' , 'Day of Mine' and 'Song for a New Beginning' which has to be the best music title ever!
The drone I used is the DGI Mini 3 Pro
The fleeces have no monetary value, the sheep are shorn in the summer for their own comfort, the fleeces are disposed of for a few pennies.
The carpet was in a skip and was perfect for our purpose, being hessian backed and not foam backed which would have introduced nasty chemicals into the ground.
All other materials used were either things Anth had in his huge collection of Useful Things, or were available locally.
The pond liner was the biggest material expense. It was supplied by PondXpert. It has a 40 year guarantee so it will outlast me!

Eileen is so happy! The pond is a beautiful sight. We put a large pond in our field and we are now able to see the all of the wildlife visiting. If you build it they will come: herons, ducks, turtles, deer, frogs, fish, kingfishers, etc. etc! Lovely idea, Kate, for completing your wildlife habitat ❤

Awwww!! We live in a world of tender mercy, gratitude & joy if we just sit up and take notice. Animals have developing souls I believe too. We learn from each other. And we benefit so much from interacting with nature and our pets and the gnomes, undines, sylphs, & faeries too, (etc.) that help us in our gardens. Nature is alive in each hill, blade of grass, and patch of sky if we open our eyes and appreciate it. I can’t even tell you how big my smile for your goose was while she let you know how thankful she was for her private pond! She was so cute swimming. Just love your garden series. My husband and I built a 250 gallon pond in our small back yard and I love watching and feeding the fish in ours and the birds bathing in the waterfall. So peaceful with morning coffee.

Oh Kate! This has been such a joy to watch on so many different levels! Your pleasure at driving the digger reminded me of my first anniversary present from my dear husband - a driving experience on a mainline GWR engine! What great fun!
