Kate's Pond Update, how to deal with all the MUD! #7

In the last video (#6) I left the pond filling with water. Water continues to be the feature of this video too as there is so much MUD around the area which makes for very unsafe walking. This was the only long term solution, so watch as Anthony, hindered as usual by me, start to make a wooden walkway around one side of the pond, supervised as always by my goose Eileen.

Anthony White has a landscape business and is a dry stone waller too. In fact, I don't think there is anything he can't do! In the next few videos, you'll see some of the plans we hinted at coming to reality. My imagination and his skill and encouragement will see us talking this project in all sorts of amazing directions. I grew up a tomboy and three other girls and I created quite an uproar when we declared we wanted to take shop class versus another year of home economics. Best decision I ever made as there's very little that I won't attempt to tackle. 🙂

@@moonlightcrafter6299 yes, you won't regret that decision. My dad wanted a son but got me so I was always encouraged to help with whatever DIY jobs he did; he was a hands on man. I'm pleased of that now, even though at the time I didn't appreciate the lessons. ☺

One of the things I like the most about all of your videos is the lack of pretension. You are who you are and do what you want. My sister who is in her eighties says one of her greatest pleasures is doing things that people say she can’t or shouldn’t do at her age. I think it runs in our family, independence at its finest.
