Remember, Tess was infected and the tendrils were starting to take hold. Starting to control her, control her mind and body. That is why she could not move and also why the infected runner didn't run straight at her. He walked up to her. She couldn't move. They were drawn to each other. She was going to be connected with all of them through that runner and the funghis tendrils. She couldn't move her head out of the way. She only had enough brain power to try and light that lighter. How terrifying for her. The explosion was a blessing for her. Thanks guys for another awesome react. As a straight man it's refreshing and funny that you guys are thirsting over Joel. I never see any straight females do it lol. Keep up the good work and I'll see you next week. EDIT - Oh yeah, that tendril sht really makes me sick too. I can't remember the last time a movie or TV show grossed me out as much as this. It makes it so much more terrifying also.

I’m just gonna say it…I like Tess more in the show than in the game. I can’t explain why since they’re literally the same character but something about the way Anna Torv plays her is just fantastic. Made me wish they would’ve said screw and let her live. Also her death here was so much better than in the game. So badass and her sacrifice was even greater. Neil and Craig are killing it. The changes they’re making have only enhanced the story so far.

Anna Torv is such a great actress! I fell in love with her on Fringe, and then saw just how full on talented she is when she was on Mindhunter. I completely agree with you, I think it's Torv's performance that has her character more likeable in the show than the game. Plus, them showing her get taken over and dying instead of just hearing it happen off screen was a much better direction to take in the show. You're so right..... the changes made have been for the better so far! In every way 👍🏻
