Show was awesome but anyone that played the game knows those performances were masterpieces. Actors in the show did great but in the game all those moments hit harder by miles. The show was definitely shining example of how to adapt source material.

It's really perfect for those who don't play videogames. Even if you don't have the context from playing, it's still an amazing story. The show and Arcane are great for videogames as a whole. Hopefully it spawns more interest in productions ACTUALLY adapting stuff accurately. Just like what happened with movies, if stuff like this keeps coming then we could see the actual space improve. These stories and their artists might actually get the recognition they deserve, games could be taken more seriously, developers workers rights better protected and actual legislation similar to that of the film industry. Maybe I'm an optimist, but this has been the pattern for so many past art forms

Maybe it has less to do with it not hitting as hard and more to do with the fact that you’re seeing it a second time so its less likely to have the same effect of you seeing it for the first time as what you did in the game. Im willing to bet it was just as impactful emotionally for those that never played the game before.
