Setting-wise, visually, everything looks amazing. Mood, atmosphere, likeness, everything. The only concern I have for the season is how they're going to make it believable on screen for Ellie and Abby to be taking on baddies. In a video game, you don't really think about that. It's a game and you're controlling the characters. But seeing tiny Bella Ramsey and Kaitlyn Dever take on big baddies will be tough to translate to the screen and make it look believable. But if anyone has a vision for how to pull it off, it's Craig Mazin. He's very talented. They have a good team working on this.

In general the show thus far has downplayed all action across the board. Joel survives half a broomstick, not a full-impalement; Ellie struggles just to get away from infected, she doesn't tackle them head-on. I think they'll be pretty reserved about it

I read that they expect to release season 2 in early 2025 so hopefully that means either January or February because season 1 was released in January of last year, And just like you I cannot freaking wait for this show to come out!

Season 2 takes place 5 years after season 1. I'm guessing they're changing the intro in the game where Joel tells Tommy what he did, and it's going to be Catherine O'Hara's character instead

Druckman had announced that he would make significant changes to the story. Spoiler I think since Pascal is really important for the series and part 2 should even take 3 seasons according to recent rumors, Pascal will not leave so quickly. It could therefore be that the original concept of the game could come in the series. Originally, it was planned that Abby would actually infiltrate Jackson and get to know the people there. She first gets to know everything and everyone and she gets to know Joel. I don't see any companions of Abby in the trailer either. Which suggests that they will hardly play a role in the coming season. I therefore believe that we will see what happened in the game at the beginning at the earliest in the finale of the season. This could be the Cliffhanger. I think parts of the trailer already cover season 3. I also think that through the therapist we get the flashbacks in different points of view. The view of Ellie, Joel and Abby. Without Abby revealing what she is up to. I can also imagine that Abby and Ellie will also become friends in Jackson and that is ultimately the reason for Abby not to hurt Ellie when the time comes.

@@Manojkumar-pq5xr Not at all, as a natural result of Abby's infiltration into Jackson. When she is there longer, she gets to know people and takes them to her heart. Something like that happens. And Ellie is not Joel, so not her target. Dumb is to think that's dumb. Although the word friends is probably too much from Abby's point of view. Let's say enough known to keep Ellie alive.
