i feel you about being in the dark place. It’s hard when you are a person who normally is the one making ppl laugh and smile and then you’re just feeling down because there’s sometimes guilt there. “i’m the joy bringer! I can relate to what you're saying. When I was about 3, one evening it occurred to me with 100% clarity, completely out of the blue, that each of us is born alone, lives alone and dies alone. Anything other than that is a temporary thing, and it makes those times spent with other people even more joyful and in the direct sense of the word 'special'. 'Cause the default is being alone, and anything other than alone has got to be special. After that night I have never felt lonely in my life. Ever. Not even once. Love that shirt with red flowers, by the way. Looks lovely on you.

I do a lot of solo travelling, like around the world. And every time, it feels like a GRAND ADVENTURE! when it starts, and it is a grand adventure. I love it. But then, coming 'home', and then being back 'home', is such a huge, slow-leaking balloon. That's when I begin to feel homesick. Homesick for places I've never been, for places I'd hoped they would be. Some of us are harder pressed to find our true home. But we'll find it, we will. I know you don’t know me at all, but I’ve been following your beautiful channel for about a year or longer now. I hate the thought of anyone being sad, down or feeing lonely but especially you because you are a beautiful person, with a heart as large as the world. I am a an ex British Army Veteran who was medically retired after a serious spinal injury during combat. I turned to art as a way of helping me with PTSD and other mental health issues but since turning to art it really has helped me. I’ve seen so much of the horrible side of humanity but through art I’ve seen so much more of the beautiful things people have to offer and you are absolutely one of those people. My kids are at College and a university and so I occasionally feel lonely as well when my wife is at work and so I hate the thought of anyone feeling like that, especially you. I absolutely love your art, your oil pastel work just blows my mind. As I said, I know you don’t know me at all, but I love you and your work and think you have such a heart of gold and radiate beauty in all the right ways, your kindness, your bring so much joy and happiness to others but you need to make sure that you are making yourself happy as well. Where I live (Tokyo), eating out alone is very common. I like walking around between teaching jobs, discovering new areas and restaurants and trying new things. If I don’t like the ambiance music, I put on a podcast. They are my own little adventures and breaks in a busy day and I recommend you try it again. Interesting painting, hope to see more like it.

I subscribed because I love your art, but from watching your videos I've come to admire your genuineness! I feel lonely, too, more times than not!
