The last route in Runcorn run by a small independent

Like many towns, Runcorn has buses run by a whole range of companies once upon a time, including various municipal and independent ones. As time went on, as with the rest of the UK, it became a lot less varied. Following the collapse of Halton Transport in 2020, and the closure of MP Travel last year, the area now only sees Arriva, a couple of Warrington's Own Buses routes and one unique case.
The route 52, which I initially wanted to do for a different reason, but the buses that were doing it have since sadly been withdrawn, is run by the lovely Ashcroft Travel. The company run a few routes around Widnes, but also the one route in Runcorn. Today, we travel along the route, discussing the possible reasons Ashcroft still run it, and then also go on to look at one of the old Halton routes at the end of the day too.

Also that is true, the 62 (Arriva) is being withdrawn on the 15th of April, I do have a suggestion if you come back and that is to ride the 79C and go through Tarbock Green, depending on the driver and bus, it will be absolutely high rev down there especially if there's no traffic
