They modified the end plate, that was always threatening to slash the tyre in two whenever the frontwing was broken and pendant. Also hope it better trapassates air so we have no more peloton style racing, in Gen2 the daily fastest driver was allowed to sail into the distance and the playing field was still even. And finally, an AWD open wheel, it existed only in TrackMania 'til now. Can't wait to see them in races.

0-100kph 1.82sec is insane. and thats not even with slicks tyres. FE is getting closer and closer to F1 territory Gen 4 will arrive in 2 years time with 600kw of driving power. imagine the top speed with that

It's just insane how the cars have technically improved over the years. But in my opinion the look of the Gen 2 car with the covered front wheels is still the best.

yeah i hope they somewhat go back to the gen 2 design. cus as they will have 600w and AWD ofc. the top speed will be very high. so covered wheels might improve battery range with the less drag.

Do we have an update on whether they're using softer tires next season or not? More power is great and all but that becomes redundant when the tires have no grip.

I believe they are, as well as using 2 different tire compounds. One for the dry and light rain, another for medium to heavy rain.

Only AWD during qualy shootouts, race start and attack mode so I’d imagine more aero would give far too much advantage to those in attack. This is fine & a nice evolution, if they’re going to make a big aero change save it for gen 4.

What's the point of more power in the Gen3 Evo car when the handling is less predictable over the Gen2 car which had more downforce and better balance. Unless they introduce ground effect in the cars I am not impressed by more power in the Gen3 Evo. I want to see better wheel-to-wheel action that was there from Futuristic looking Gen2.

They enabled front wheel drive (instead of just regen) especially for that matter, and the tires are also grippier, that should help a lot in the handling stuff

I prefer it to the current design... seems more interesting, which I guess isn't saying much considering the low poly design that looked like it was penned by a 9 year old. Still not a match for the elegant yet striking design of the gen 2 cars.

To me, the gen 2 evo (that never raced) looks better than both gen 3 cars, but the original gen 2 is a little uglier. Maybe it's something with the tall front fenders or the front wing being behind the nose, i really don't know

@@LotsOfToubleUsuallySerious Perhaps you were aversed to the wheel guards maybe as otherwise the designs a quite similar even the front wings, to the point I wouldn't go from saying one is ugly while the other is a successful design. But yea I would've preferred if they had put that design to use as the gen 3 car or introduced it earlier as the gen 2 evo and then have it morph into the gen 3 evo design as the first iteration of the gen 3. Both evo designs share similar design elements and would've smoothed the transition to gen 3.
