The Latest 2023 Lexus ES received one and final update which in my opinion is really done well!
The Lexus ES is one of the original Lexus models that has a long standing history of proper old school luxury and reliability. The Update of 2023 was really well done because they didn't take it too far.
They updated what needed updating and left the important things alone. The powertrains remains the same. In a world where larger smooth engines are being replaced with turbo charged 4 cylinders, the Lexus ES remains possible to get with a proper smooth old school V6.
In this video we take a look at what exactly did Lexus Update in 2023 in the ES and more.

Yes ! I’m 58 and I feel the same way. Too many years of owning German (Audi and VW) cars and Volvos. These all have issues and headaches as they get older. Lexus/Toyota have the best quality and won’t bankrupt you. I even sold my 2013 es350 to buy my current 2002 es300. Didn’t want a high monthly payment, now I have no payment with all the luxury and refinement I need

I don't care what anyone says. The 3.5 V6 will always be smoother and better than any 4 cylinder turbo or hybrid 4 Cylinder. I hope Lexus doesn't ever get rid of that beautiful 3.5 V6 👍

I’m a car enthusiast but now also a dad and the Lexus ES F Sport is the car that made me switch from my Infiniti QX70 which I loved. What made me change was Luxury with awesome F Sport looks, good tech including driver assistance and room for 2 car seats and most importantly it runs on regular fuel and is so inexpensive to own. I love Lexus approach of blending of luxury and tech while sticking to Toyota roots simplicity, durability and reliability. As always another great video my friend

As someone who does a lot of work on cars, foreign and domestic, every time I see a japanese badge on a car that comes in, I always feel a breath of relief. Working on japanese cars is simple, whether it be doing suspension repairs like replacing a control arm or replacing the valve cover, I never had to step back from the car in frustration. Toyota makes there cars with the intention of having a long life span. I've never been underneath a car of another brand and had the same feeling.

@Vinh Ngo VERY well said. Yeah, I absolutely love working on my 2006 Matrix, even though that’s only once a year because Toyotas rarely need work, everything is so easy to get to in that engine bay. You don’t have to know much about cars to work on it.

@tonysterbenc
@tonysterbenc 11 ай бұрын
@@davidmoeller17 I own an Ultra Luxury. The big items are the leather, additional soundproofing, the 360 parking cameras, and the rear sunshade, plus the fact that most of the Ultra Luxurys are coming off the line with the other options that are available on paper from other trim levels but often aren't in the actual cars, like the Mark Levinson and the triple beam headlights. I'd encourage you to decide whether those individual items are worth it to you -- for me, the leather and the best stereo were on my personal must list, so it was a no-brainer. If not, don't pay extra, because Savagegeese for one felt that the base with a few options (wood-trim Premium Package, Levinson) is a much better value for money.

Now I have ZERO monthly payment with all the luxury and refinement I need. I’m the second owner (bought in April 2021) and although I had to replace some original parts within first year of ownership due to age all w mostly GENCO parts: starter, alternator, AC condenser which started squealing but still worked, struts (rear ones started leaking) and exhaust flex pipe. this car is bulletproof especially with the 1MZ engine. I change the synthetic oil every 5k miles (3x so far). There is one on YT with 590k highway miles posted about 3 years ago w original engine and transmission. Amazing build quality, luxury and refined. Super quiet Everything still works like new. The 4th Gen ES (02-06) had one of the highest build quality’s

Excellent Review! My daily commute is 45 minutes (one way) and my 2015 ES 350 makes it a pleasant commute. Yes, there are times where I would love to be able to carve winding roads with a car with more dynamic controls. However, those opportunities are rare. As I get older, I am appreciating the ride comfort of this daily driver. My 2015 model has absolutely no issues. I often debate getting a new version; when the time comes, I am glad Lexus has kept the qualities I truly appreciate about this line of cars. Thank you forr the review.

Great review, and I've watched so many of these on YT. I've got a 2023 es300h after months of research. Overall, it feels like a car worth so much more than it cost. Perfect daily driver (70+ miles per day). Personally, I like the old school switches and buttons. They compliment a decent infotainment system, and it drives as smoothly as you can get for the money, not to mention the standard spec provided. I can't fault it for comfort and economy. It is reliable and understated. My other car is a 24 year old Toyota MR2, which has never missed a beat.

😊😊😊 looking at getting an Es in next year. Currently, my 2017 Camry has 170k on it , only replaced oil , tires 2 sets currently running Michelin Cross Climate 2. Phenomenal tires highly recommend!!!. The battery and coolant last year. Everything else is stock. Brakes, plugs , filter Everything is right as I drove it off the Show room floor. I don't think about mileage I'd drive it to Maine from Richmond VA in a minute. Purely well put together machines and that's what you want from a large purchase. Worry free living in one part of life is the way to go!!!😊😊

I have the same tires, and they are superior in water. I have to remember that just because I can stop and steer in large puddles does not mean that others can, either. Supposedly, they wear out faster, and the rotation is limited because of the single way that they are to rotate. But, yes, great tires for crappy weather!

@gwilli1754 your correct about the ponding water and ability to confidently go through it worth very Lil concern as long as your using common sense. They are great in snow as well I've had mine for over 30k and I'd say they are getting near half life on them. If ...... I keep my camry another year past 200k I'll probably swap on a new set next summer. Hopefully you get a much stress free driving as I've had with mine.

Will have 5,000 miles by Dec..I will consider a hi bred version for the right price. You have made me appreciate it more. It is a 3rd car that gets used mostly Nov.--Mar..

I have a 2020 ES350 luxury trim and absolutely love it. It’s very rewarding and satisfying behind the wheel. I know I’m in the minority but I like the track pad and prefer it. I do feel the 22-23 dash board lost a lot of character with the screen being out further.

I fell in love with the ES350 in 2008 when I bought one new. Such a great car that I just bought a 2023 ES350 with the F sport appearance package. A beautiful car which I'm sure will last me another 14 years. BTW, still have the 2008 which my kids now drive. I totally agree though about the FSport handling version. I test drove it and wasn't that impressed with the ride comfort or with the seats for that matter. Heads up display was cool though.

My ES 300h is finally coming next week after almost 3 months of waiting. I don't like the 19" wheels so I go with the luxury package. I believe I will appreciate this decision for the comfort and the tire price. Can't wait to see that in my garage : )

GS has more ride options than ES, because it was a higher model. Check out the GS450H ride, if you want to get closer to an LS ride without the price. You can probably just switch the components around, but I would want to make sure.

I truly enjoy your channel and reviews. I'm old, so I want my cd player. I don't understand the new technology. I love my 07 Avalon. After all these years I've only put 91k miles on her. When I raise the hood there's a battery right there where it should be. It looks good, no giant grill, no black wheels. It's quiet and very comfortable. I have a friend who is 6'4" tall and has plenty of head and leg room in the back seat. Most importantly to me is how completely dependable she's been. I'm a stickler for routine maintenance. I live in the south so rust is not an issue. When I bought her I had no intention of keeping her long term, now I've decided to keep her as long as I continue to drive. At some point I will pass her on to someone in the family.

I had a 2006 Avalon. Should have kept it, but my wife wanted an SUV. If you’ve only got 91k miles on your Avalon, if I were you, I’d keep it waxed, keep it maintained, and keep it a long time. IMO, it was the best looking Avalon ever made.

Honestly speaking Lexus is a car often overlooked and usually trashed by car critics and reviewer but the fact that they sell in such large numbers is impeccable! Let us not review the people who buy the car but let us review the car itself. When you say that it's quiet, smooth, well built, easy to use and a stress reliever YOU ARE TALKING ABSOLUTE SENSE!! what a car... What a masterpiece

I have a 2019 es350 luxury. It is the perfect car for a 57 year old guy. Smooth, quiet, elegant and refined. I chose the very understated gray color. Most people don't really notice it, but up close it is clearly a quality product. I paid cash and don't anticipate a car payment for another 10 years, maybe more.

Great video, the ES is elegant, luxurious, yet practical. My dad got the 2023 300H a few months ago and he absolutely loves it. I had a 2021 XSE Camry hybrid and even though these vehicles have the same engine and powertrain, the drive quality is much better in the 300H. From acceleration to cabin noise, the ES is much more refined. So if you want a Camry’s practicality with quality luxury, spend the extra $10k and invest in the ES, you won’t be disappointed.

I’m honestly not big on Toyota or Lexus but if I was in the market for a new car I would consider this. I like the idea of avoiding the turbo and having real controls for climate etc. , and regular gas ! Is this fondness for the simpler controls “ old school “ , yes but you don’t need complicated controls when you’re moving down the highway at 65 . This overall sold me on the car . I’m an avid viewer of your videos , so I can learn more about Toyotas and Lexus’ as family members do own them. I really enjoy your honesty and details !
