Oh yes. I am livid. I have spent around $1500 Canadian on this game. Even though I stopped buying Game Pack sized EPs (no Lovestruck, no Life and Death here) EA STILL manages to bend me over with a bloody loading screen update. Who the hell do they have programming these "patches"?

I stopped buying around Lovestruck as well. I am not going to buy anything before they stop breaking the game - if they ever do....

I just wish updates weren't forced on you. Like just let me play this frigging game on a stable branch! Like every other game I play does this! Why is this SO hard for EA ?!

Well it is not really gone, but you just have to use the search bar to look for it. However, if you don't remember a single word of the object name, it is good as gone. EA thinks we wouldn't have noticed something is missing in the 1243527 items in the catalogue. Nope, we do notice!

I find it weird they are selling you cosmetic clutter when clutter itself isn't cosmetic but a result of actions in the world. For example, lets say I was too lazy to put away my clothes; they'd be in a pile on the floor because I put them there and they will stay until I decided to put them away. They aren't permanent and they aren't nice to look at; so they're not cosmetics. In fact thesims1 had that already and it wasn't sold to you, it was trash. Like literally trash, you can drop it on the floor and it's clutter. But the fact that even their sold clutter is bugged is poetic and ironic; the messy code deleted the messy objects. They should of just made TheSims5 so they cann start with a fresh engine/game; but since they said they will stay on TheSims4 this'll get worse. This is the start, soon stuff will just vanish each save, sims will start warping, game crashing, creepy glitches, it's the end I tells ya! THE END!! But seriously, this is a bad sign from EA, so I suggest anyone who wants to play TheSims, just play sims 1 - 3 instead, especially the older versions that aren't updated. They can't ruin it for you there and it sends a message that you won't pay for buggy games. win win!

That's exactly the decision I made back in 2020, stopped playing the Sims 4 entirely and went back to 1, 2 & 3 (depending on the mood), it's been a bliss, and I just laugh at the disaster that is The Sims 4. It just keeps getting worse.

I was in the process of building a new home when I stopped playing a few months ago. I returned last week to find one of the items in my inventory became "**DEBUG**", worth 0 Simoleons. I have no idea what the item was - it was probably clutter anyway -, but I guess they deleted it? I have no expansions and use no mods or cheats either.

@@simssaves4980 There was this one week with rewards for logging in daily, though the only reward I can remember is the "Practice Makes Perfect" trait. That's the only time-sensitive set of items I've ever gotten. If it was one of those items, then this situation is still as little concerning as clutter being deleted, but it's odd nonetheless.

My Sim has been getting * * DEBUG * *s from dumpster diving! And I have been so confused. I have been doing a challenge, so I didn't notice stuff missing in the catalogue! So I was confused why it kept happening.

sims team dont care about the experience, they care about money. they release updates and packs with huge, obvious bugs. we have to hope that they decide to fix them, but theres always the chance that they just leave it and move on to the next lackluster money-grab. Each release turns more people to piracy large amounts of mods and cc.

I haven't noticed any bugs, mainly because I don't own this game. But I did notice (because other simmers made a video about it) they added a few of your "forgotten objects", the large cake (although it's a pg watered down version), and the long buffet table; the heart bed has already been added with Lovestruck...

yesss I noticed they’re bringing back some defunct legends and that’s great ✨✨ imo they should’ve been in the base game though 💅🏼🤭

Not only has this happened to me but the new main menu update caused some lots to be unplayable as my sims cant access them and i cant lower to screen to enter it, almost like visiting without the option to knock
