How to add wind protection when using The Lav Concealer to hide mics. Using The Invisible Lav Covers Fur Outdoor or Piece-A-Fur (which you'll need to cut yourself) in combination with our Invisible Lav Tape.

Hello, I am recording at the same time in Korea. I use your product. When you fill an actor with a Wireless microphone, the clothes make a lot of noise. Is there a solution?

Hello! That really is a "how long is a piece of string" question. There are many, many different solutions that could help to reduce clothing friction directly on the microphone, though not that much you can do about general noise caused by clothing fabrics rubbing together in the proximity of the mic - this will also be picked up on a boom mic. One thing you should definitely try is reducing cable friction noise - try the Cable Saver for this (kzbin.info/www/bejne/bmrSeZ-PYseIrsU) Another thing would be to use our Piece-A-Fur or Invisible Lav Covers Fur Outdoor pieces at tight spots between fabrics or between fabric and skin, to raise them up and dull the friction between them, which can also help (kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqmXeYN-l66HfK8). The rest will come from experience and learning your tools, though ultimitely the best option would be to ask costume department and/or your talent to remove the noisy piece of clothing and replace it with something with natural fibers, if at all possible. If your talent has a very hairy chest can you apply the same technique and apply to a tee shirt and or shirt?

Absolutely. What it may not account for is the talent’s hair scratching against the shirt though. Another option is to flip the mount and apply it so that the fur is facing the hair, which protects the capsule from that scratchy interference. You could even add a couple of pieces of fur to the body on the left and right of the mic, to lift the fabric off the hair a bit and reduce the ambient scratchiness.
