Michael Keaton actually spoke at my masters degree graduation at KSU in 2018, best commencement speech ever! He attended Kent State University in Ohio for college back in the day, he now has an honorary doctorate there. It was amazing watching him speak so cool! He ended the speech with "I'm Batman!". I'll never forget it. Beetlejuice is one of my top 5 favorite movies of all time! Can't wait to see the new one.

Andy, the shrimp breath is a good indicator that your puppers may have an oral infection. We had two pugs, one had bad breath for a long time. It was horrible and I would joke how it smelled like 10,000 rotting shrimp. When we noticed that our other pug's breath started to smell the same, we brought them to the Vet. They both had an oral infection. One had all but three teeth removed and the other had 18 removed.

I saw Beetlejuice for the first time ever today because of this podcast. I liked it. Will be seeing the sequel tomorrow! :D SN: I completely disagree with your take on the Terminator 2 casting. I think they made the right choice with Furlong. Furlong had that River Phoenix, Brad Renfro vibe and look to him, and that's what they wanted. The complex troubled kid in pain, that you want to take in, protect, love, and heal. Albeit cute, Matthew was not "too pretty" at all. I think the problem probably was that he was to "innocent" for the part, more of a Disney vibe in a sense. Not every role is right for every actor, as you know. And this role went to the right one. Just like Matthew was a great fit for Mrs. Doubtfire, which would be wrong for e.g. Furlong.

“Betelgeuse” is the name of a star in the night sky. It may have already supernova’d and the light hasn’t reached Earth yet. The title of the film was simplified so it is pronounced correctly. The character’s gravestone spells it properly.

I totally understand what Matt is talking about. That’s exactly how I felt losing the movie Halloween Kills and ends. I was so close with the director, David Gordon Green, and he really liked me. I flew back and forth on my own dime from Detroit to Wilmington, North Carolina, where they actually filmed TMNT 1-2 and The Crow (where Brandon Lee passed away). I said a prayer before our audition. I auditioned six times and lost. My dad actually knew that producer before he passed away, but I didn’t want to be a douche and name-drop. PS I was in pain and gain in my scene got cut. 😂

I loved Beetlejuice. It was so nostalgic. I enjoyed the Jenna story with the boy and Beetlejuice with his ex wife. Bob was a star in this lol. It was just a fun movie. And Keaton kills it as Beetlejuice. Jenna is a great actress love her in Wednesday!! She's so good.

Great post guys. I saw the new Beetlejuice and was not as thrilled as you guys. I thought there were too many characters and plots that left it disjointed. The lip sync in the church at the end was too loooong. I thought it was a good film, but not great as I had hoped.
