Charasmatic people tend to have realised that conquering people's defensiveness is the key to what people can bring to their own lives. I guess then it just comes down to their intention. They're always attentive listeners with a great sense of humour. The confidence combined with the ability to criticize and laugh at themselves also brings barriers down. They appear more humble, more complete as people. Like they have enough strength for both of you. They seem less tortured by their internal conflict.

The power of acquiescence is not to be underestimated imo. When we are calm enough inside that we can absorb more pressure through presence of mind. We don't need external validation and understand we can extend ourselves to people and have it not destroy our sense of worth/self. We can put ourselves below people and know we are taking control by relinquishing our appetite for control and outcomes. So aquienscance has real allure and can humble you to let go of worrying about protecting your boundaries. You can live in a state of flow and present trust and understanding to people's lives that will automatically gain more respect and favourability with people.

10:10 - 12:15 The book and the laws are about defense, it is not evil as some people believe. It has helped 99% of people. Narcissistic, psychopathic people do not need to read this book, because they already know these laws by nature and instinct, it's in their DNA 🧬. A good example is my narcissistic mother. She is VERY manipulative, but do you think that she has ever read a single page of a book in her entire life? (The answer is no, in case you don't know).

In an ideal world we could accept that whilst we all have emotional needs that there has to be a trade off. Most people don't want a little bit of power though. People are greedy. They want it all. So there is a distinct conflict of interest within collaboration of society.

With all due respect, Robert, what you describe as strategies to survive in and navigate the power structures of the world has been done as someone who has essentially dropped out of it and is a perennial outsider. And you do not mention how many times those who are careful to assuage the egos of their superiors and avoid many of the traps set for powerless people are still defeated by the cronyism built into society which continues to ignore them in favor of the sociopaths and narcissists who wheedle their way into the upper echelons. I think we also need to inject into this conversation the idea of re envisioning a different concept of power. The one we have now is heavily dependent on and inherited from dominant Western men.

The irony of people is that so many people distrust each other. It's a plausible observation that throughout your life you can count your closest friends on one hand. Yet the same people who are distrustful of others are projecting distrust and expecting people to show them virtue. Way I see it...if there's no materialism to gain or attain as we are perishing, then the only thing we can gain and attain is connection. That's where the real power is. Upgrading your influence to forge those positive connections, but also being astute enough to see who's not your friend. Anyone who's been around Narcissistic people will know the negative impact they can have on your identify and the relationship you have with yourself. It's incumbent on you to be discerning with everyone.

22:21 FDR was an excellent player of the 48 rules of power, hands down. So good, that most people including Robert believe he was a good guy. In reality, FDR was the biggest swindler and thief in US history. With executive order 6102 he banned the private ownership of gold and confiscated it for "the greater good", he then revaluated the looted gold by debasing the dollar. Also by making war bond irredeemable with gold and playing woth interest rates and valuations, the US Treasury profited in the equivalent of todays's 10.000 tons of gold. In one fell swoop. Keep in mind that the US reports gold reserves around 8000 tons today, and FDR swindled the equivalent of 10,000 tons of gold. Countless citizens who got stripped of their gold or who sold hard assets to buy patriotic war bonds would find themselves holding the bag, victims of FDR's cunning scheme. As citizens, falling for people like FDR, can prove a ruinous mistake.

The idea that Elon musk is a poor delegator is beyond stupid. Elon sleeps in the factory because he wants those he has delegated tasks to know that he is more invested than they are.
