The flexibility of working in different journals and letting them rest for a bit until you feel called back to work in them,,, ahhhh. This is something that I also do and it continues to serve me and my creative practice well. Often times, when I go back to work in an older journal it feels like meeting up with an old friend and we pick right up where we left off. Great video Caylee, thank you!

non fiction helps you live a life, to live experiences without really going through it maybe fiction have the "Hero" path in them. Scifi is good for that. I love that you mentioned discussion groups. it helps our thinking skills and challenges our thinking Marking books books leave a piece of your self as well as going back to read later can show how you have grown. you become a new person and your brain is completely different after you hit 5000 hours. keep going! this was awesome!

hey do u have indoor grafitti on a wall (behind some of the ephem u were showing us)?! i never wanted the headache of owning (and fixing! and taxes etc) a home, BUT have always wanted to go wild w paint! might be sorry but that ok too... i enjoy your voice and laidback manner. and now want an antique ledger! sigh... will look at amazon and see how the faux's doing... NOT the same i know but! 🙆 🙏💐🙋🌻
@CayleeGrey2 жыл бұрын
Yes! It’s graffiti on the inside. I love it so so much. I didn’t paint it, though. My studio is inside an old slaughterhouse. The slaughterhouse kinda fell apart and there’s graffiti all around it. When they decided to renovate it they kept the original bits. So there are crumbly walls mixed with graffiti. I lovvvve it 😍

And maybe you can find some real ledger that’s been scanned in to print!

I just stumbled across your channel bc Erin Ware did mention you in one of her latest videos. I'm in Germany too. May I ask from where do you get all the amazing vintage "German" paper? Your style is wonderful. 🤗👌🏼💮
@CayleeGrey2 жыл бұрын
Erin is a top favourite of mine. I find most of my German papers on eBay! There is so much of it. I will search "konvolut" which is cheaper than buying one by one. They have great old ledgers there too.
