I'd really like low latency (sub 3ms) 720p 120Hz over any high-res options, the perfect scenario would be a 1440p60 fidelity mode, and a 720p120 performance mode, and 4K sub-pixel rendered (looks immaculate with anything as low as a 480p rendered source) docked mode, a 4K 120Hz subpixel rendered docked mode from a 1080p120FPS would be perfect, you could also have a natively rendered 1440p60Hz docked mode, which would be really nice for 1440p OLED monitors, most important though is the low latency & smooth FPS handheld mode, as long as it's a locked FPS with sub 3ms, It would be great, pipe dream would be a 4:3 aspect ratio Switch like the iPad OLED Pro, but that's wishful thinking I'd imagine.

Releasing a console without analog triggers should be unacceptable today. So many racing games aren’t ported or just don’t play well without them. Theres no way Nintendo couldn’t engineer a work around that wouldn’t jack up controller prices or create reliability issues. They just choose not to and that’s not cool.

That canny be true surely, no D-Pad, no triggers no OLED (just LCD), just couldn't compete with a Steam Deck 90Hz OLED, much less a Deck 2 120Hz OLED, thankfully it's easy to replace the terrible official Nintendo controller with a decent one, but Nintendo used to make good gamepads, 3rd party pads used to be the cheap option, not the better one.

The thing about 4K is that even the high end machines doesnt always produce 60 fps so considering the price expectation ill be fine with no 4K as long as its at least 60 fps and HD. I hope it wont be as bad as hogwarts legacy switch

Yep, Nintendo is probably planning to release an OLED model at some point, but not right away. LCD screens have improved though. It will probably have a better quality LCD screen than the first Switch.

I wonder if the games will get the 3DS cartridge treatment. I mean that they could get a different plastic color, they could get a little bump on the side, and you could put normal switch game in the switch 2 and could play them on the switch 2. I’m also hoping for a background theme on the menu and shop like the DS and Wii had. Maybe even some other quality of life apps like weather and the return of flipnote or check mii out. There is so much more possibility people aren’t seeing in the switch 2 and I’m personally stoked! 👁️👄👁️

Yeah, I'm really not interested in LCD devices, never been a fan of LCD anyway, but my OLED PS Vita, iPad Pro and Switch are just beautiful, and LCD is like going from colour to black & white, not to mention LCD has horrible motion clarity and latency, faster internal specs do not in any way make up for downgrading to LCD from OLED, I'd take a cut down Switch with OLED over a Switch 2 with LCD.

@ 1.Ui/ Eshop. They have the potential to be greater but they both are bland and the Eshop runs horribly. You can’t even buy multiple games at once. 2. More color options. They don’t color the console fully when it comes to special editions and stuff like that. They don’t make them as special as when special editions came out for the 3ds and ds. 3. Quality of life improvements like messaging, voice chat, and themes. Stuff that helps make the switch comparable to competitors. Like it’s genuinely so confusing when I try to “invite” my friends to play games but I can’t use the invite feature? 4. The quality of their games. They don’t seem to really experiment or try anything more adventurous as when they first released the switch. They have no reason to play it safe when we are 6-7 years in. 5. No analog triggers? I know it would add weight and size to the joy cons but they add so much to the experience when you have pressure sensitivity or if you have resistance like the ps5 controller. 6. Easier game management . Why can I only use folders if I bought enough games or I can only use them when I open up the bigger menu with the game list. 7. Game ratings within the store. And more public used feedback. I’m not just talking like comments because that could get messy I mean like 1-5 star ratings that everyone can see so I can tell if a game is worth buying. 8. Just more features that helped to personalize the experience. And more ways to feel connected because when I see my friends online. I only see them online. It’s like you can see islands far away but you can’t communicate with the islands ykwim?

Yeah its worrying but again i wont believe it until i hear from nintendo... unfortunately its extremely likely to be true, as nintendo likely chose between resolution and performance to save money for production and chose resolution. From what im seeing, majority of us would rather have 60fps with 2k or even 1080p like you said, so people want higher framerates rather than significantly better resolution.. Something weird about the leak is that, since they were most likely shown what it looks like and couldnt turn it on, how did they know the resolution and framerate, did the person who showed it to the leaker relay the info to them or what? Suspicious Another thing, the resolution itself doesnt sound true. 4k docked? 4k handheld as well? Both seem ridiculous, handheld mode will be 1080p without question, so to jump from 1080p to 4k on docked is ubsurd unless the dock had hardware inside to improve it
