Im a Pit main and if you ask me, in all 1000 matches of online I've played, I've seen 10, maybe 11 pits total. I understand why since they arent very interesting but generally there are reasons I main them (mostly vanilla Pit though). 1. Aireals. My God are they strong. Usually they are combo tools but edge guarding with them is fairly easy. They have next to no lag, come out fast, and the biggest problem with them is that the hit boxes aren't fixed yet especially for neutral air. 2. BOW. The bow meshes well with Pit's toolkit as an edge guarding character. Whether you're using Pittoo's stronger arrows or Pit's more controllable ones, they are very effective at gimping early on. 3.grounded attacks. Pit on the ground is fairly good as well. Down tilt is essential to combo starters, and all his attacks are uick and snappy. This is why you see professional Pit player playing either very aggressive or in neutral, since unless your REALLY dumb there is very little moves that you can do that leave you wide open, meaning its a pretty forgiving character. 4. Lack of cheese. When you win a game with the Pits, you deserve it. There is no zero to death combo, no game breaking attack, no easily cheesable mechanic, just pure fairness. If you lost against Pit its your fault since there is no overpowered thing they have to speak of. There is just this wave of satisfaction when you win since you worked hard for it, and in the end it pays off. TL;DR Pit isn't the most honest character, he has some very unique things you can pull off when your good and has interesting interactions most the time. Now ROB on the other hand.... he technically isn't even a video game character.

I'm a Pit main, and it's honestly quite sad how forgotten the Kid Icarus franchise itself is. Pit and Dark Pit really do deserve more attention due to combo potential, off-stage shenanigans, etc. Lucario is also underrated but I see why people don't choose him. I main Lucario and Dark Pit and have gotten pretty good results with the two along with my other mains: Link, Falco, Pikachu, and Ridley.

10:11 Alph main here, I prefer him over Olimar because Alph is my favorite Pikmin character, and by extension, one of my favorite Nintendo characters in general. Olimar and Alph are, in my opinion, some of the most hype characters in Ultimate because of how they can use the different Pikmin types to adapt to certain matchups and turn the tide in their favor. For example, they can toss a red Pikmin through Bowser’s Flame Breath to sneak in some damage. The different Pikmin types each have unique uses for many situations, like blue Pikmin being the best for KO’ing with throws. Because of this, no two matches with Olimar and Alph feel the same, because depending on the opponent they’re fighting, some Pikmin will prove more useful than others (such as yellow Pikmin being better against Pikachu compared to other colors thanks to their immunity to electrical attacks). Olimar and Alph are among the more difficult characters to master in Smash Ultimate, and there’s immense reward for pulling it off. Olimar and Alph are very fun to play as, and are, in my opinion, some of Smash Ultimate’s best designed fighters. Their moveset really is like playing a Pikmin game in a 2D fighting game setting. Pikmin is my favorite Nintendo franchise, and I’m proud to be an Alph main in Smash Ultimate.

@@dnegel9546 that is indeed the Pokémon I picked up as a secondary haha. Yes I think Mewtwo might indeed just be a better lucario. I mean both are fairly floaty, m2 has more reliable kill and doesn’t have to rely on aura. Really is just a better version of lucario except that lucario can live longer arguably. I say arguably because lucario is still easy to kill and most people will try to kill him early so he doesn’t get aura. Both are very fun!

Usually, Link gets to be on top of Young Link and way more than Toon Link. This happens since there are fighters with better proyectile options, such as Simon, Snake, Young Link, Samus, etc. If you analyze it well, toon link is basically an expressive character, even though his strongest kill option is at 60-70%. Pro players who main proyectiles are always a good option against ground players like DK or Captain Falcon, even though there are 3 possible Link options :/

Santiago Herrera Snake is also an expressive character. Theres so many ways to play him, thats why I think he’s super fun. You can play tactical (Like VinnyG and Shogun) Aggressive (To an extent because he’s slow) Defensive/Passive, campy, and patient and smart to punish (kinda like Marss Snake) Not sure if I can say the Same for Samus and Simon though. Annthom actually he really does need buffs and fixes. N-air has almost as much range as little mac, doesn’t autocancel and it’s frame 7. Up-air kills at like 160%, it has less range than mario’s up-air, it’s slower than other up-airs and mario can just do two up-airs in one shorthop (I don’t like mario as you can see). Sourspot f-tilt is -9 on hit at 0% so fox for example can just up-smash you for free. Up-tilt kills really late (around 170%), is really unsafe on shield, combo’s at specific % ( it combo’s at like 25% - 35% and it doesn’t combo on characters with a frame 2 escape option) and the side hitboxes are really tiny (so you can’t even do d-tilt -> up-tilt). Up-b is inconsistent even when your opponent doesn’t sdi and it doesn’t kill at 140% midstage. Jab is inconsistent. Magnet absorbs at frame 7 (same thing with ness), the hitbox has less range than d-tilt, the windbox makes it so much harder to hit the opponent (they fly past you or you fly past them most of the time. It’s only really useful for dragging them back off-stage if they are at high% but it’s always better to just hit them back off-stage with an aerial), the windbox also makes it harder to absorb some projectiles (if you try to absorb snakes bomb then it will just go past you and then explode behind you. You have to space it or time it right which can be really difficult in an intense match), the hitbox also has a slow start-up. Grab is frame 12 (just as fast as yink’s and tink’s grab) and is shorter than tink’s and yink’s grab. He doesn’t need every move to get buffed but if they buffed most of the moves I talked about then he would be a high high-tier (or maybe even at the bottom of top-tier). I personally think that he’s a high mid-tier and that he has the potential to be a low high-tier because of his movement options, shield pressure, recovery and combo’s. Edit: I forgot to talk about how bad up-smash is. It’s -49 on shield fully charged (-54 if it’s uncharged), characters with an aerial that has low landinglag can just hit your invincibility and then shield or spotdodge right after because of it’s start-up and almost any character in the game can punish him after hitting them with an fully charged up-smash at 0% - 10% (even ness can punish it if he fastfalls with any aerial and then a d-air).

Lucario can be a fun character in Ultimate, his side B at high percentages is straight up murder, but he gets dicked by being a character that relies on living to high percentages well also being one of the lightest characters in the game. If they buffed his weight, I don't see him being great, but being able to hold a stock becomes being able to hold a lead.
