These are always nuts to me as an ethnic man. Ethnic folks have fallen for this nonsense for far too long, and it appears to have gotten worse. On a side note, ethnic people are indeed the most obese group in the nation; especially ethnic women, and overall Americans at large. That data was just updated to reflect this by the CDC(who I'm surprised even bothered to update it because of their endless pandering and corruption.) Although ethnic folks are obese, it's not because of any race hustling, victimhood at all. Ethnic folks are irresponsible regarding their health. It's really that simple. I've long looked into this claim of "systematic racism" as the cause of obesity problems, and it's largely false. In fact I would argue that corruption among multiple spheres of society are actually working to keep people sick and not healthy, and we let them. Our healthcare system is largely shabby and expensive because they profit off making and keeping us sick and unhealthy. It's quite obvious, especially now. We have sick-care, not healthcare. Notice how they never mandate exercise, fresh air, drinking more water, and eating better foods that aren't the crap they push on tv. Have you checked the stuff you intake lately? I have over the last year and a half during Covid. Since they lie so much, I dug even deeper to see what else they lie about and it was an abyss of lies. Even down to my brand name toothpaste I found to be unhealthy. All this as they recommend jabs over exercise and vital vitamins like D and C. They outright celebrate obesity now, and when they aren't doing that they make them victims and reward that irresponsibility. Ethnic folks simply refuse to be responsible and accountable for themselves, and they're now obese perpetually. I heard an ethnic man I follow, who's old school, straight up say that he finds it amazing that ethnic women are this huge and fat while simultaneously complaining they are poor and victims, yet eat and have more than what ethnic women had in the early 20th century. Ethnic women were never this big and unhealthy at any other point in history irrespective of societal status, and these women are bigger than their men in the present. My mom got fat over the last two years, I simply told her go exercise and lose weight. Covid kills ethnic folks who are obese, and is usually the case with ethnic folks and comorbidities generally. She proceeded to take me seriously and lost 40 pounds, and exercises now and eats much better. No excuses. Good stuff Ami.

Would be worth mentioning that all research (at least what I aware of) find correlation between obesity and socio-economic status. Product placement in grocery stores is very well thought out. Fruits and vegetables in the front because they are colorful and entices you to come in. The bakery usually next to it because the small of baked goods makes you hungry. Milk and eggs are in the back because they don’t want you to run in an get milk and leave. They want you to walk past all the other products and buy other things. Kids cereal is kept at kids eye level and they move products on a scheduled so you have to look for it.
