FINALLY someone who understands the loop error in Savitar's story. Since Season 3 ended, I tried multiple times to explain it in every discussion and people were just too dumb to understand it.

Honestly same, I just couldn't get people to understand that the Savitar we see is from AFTER he's already killed Iris so it made no sense and broke his own origin. We usually got stuck on the "Then why was he in the speed force prison?" question.

Season 3 is a mess but I will always appreciate it for giving us HR. I am still bothered by the fact that everybody just immediately moves on from his death. The guy was in the ground for 2 seconds and everybody was having an “all’s well that ends well” moment over his grave like he wasn’t around all season and an incredibly likable character. “We are the flash” is ridiculous. I clowned on it back then and I’ll do it until the day my angry hateful heart explodes.

I think wells losing his intelligence is actually really sad. Him going to Iris's apartment and being no help while she is annoyed is a sad moment. When he just holds onto the helmet and all he can say is "help" is heartbreaking. A man that knows what he should be doing but lacking any ability to do it. A man whose pride is his intelligence, losing it all.

The Flash was the best. I kept up every week, literally grew with the cast. Aging as they did in real-time, as they were in the same year we were. It was such a nice connection I'll never forget. I did happen to stumble on the 2nd video first, but I'm re-watching after this. Thank you for making these. I wish Flash had the last few seasons it deserved, but I won't lie. I had moments in seasons 7-9 where I did get that same spark of tension and "Holy crap there's stakes right now!" that I remember near the beginning. I have a very soft spot for the Godspeed arc, feeling very much like older seasons to me. I just uh, ignore the Allegra/Espironza scenes lol!

Cicada is by far the worst villain in the show. A guy who can be shot with a normal gun. He doesn't have super-speed, he doesn't have durability. Just get Joe to him with a gun and shoot, bam. But they never try that, because that would be too easy, now would it? So they try to come up with some nonsensical ways to beat him instead of trying the most obvious thing.

I didn't like the fact that the wedding of Barry and Iris happened on a different show. This is a show about Barry/The Flash, so I wish his wedding happened on his show.

The biggest sins of the show (not in any order): 1. Treatment of Harry (losing intelligence) & Jesse, both being just killed off 2. Treatment /underutilization of Wally (Kid Flash) 3. Savitar loop error (S3 isnt bad, but this is definitely a major plothole) 4. Inconsistencies with Barry's powerscale 5. Shifting supporting characters to the same status as Barry (the actual star of the show) in later seasons 6. Terrible writing in later seasons 7. Rushed/short season 9, that hardly focuses on Barry for several episodes 8. Disrespecting iconic villains in the finale 9. In my opinion, not having a huge speedster teamup of the good speedsters (Barry, Wally, Jesse, Jay, and maybe Nora & Bart). Maybe have it as a battle versus evil speedsters (Thawne, Zoom, Savitar, Godspeed...heck, bring the Rival back). 10. Living in flashpoint longer than 1 episode

Yeah, I wish Savitar was way more like future flash from the new 52 character wise and Barry slowly suddenly turning into that unknowingly. They honestly could’ve done that concept better in the show than the comics with really exploring it further and having Savitar pushing Barry into becoming more ruthless and violent. Would’ve been way more interesting if Barry had to break the cycle within rather than some MacGuffin.

I agree with your take on season 5. I’ve always liked the season and I never understood the hate about it. I really enjoyed Sherloque and his investigation of Nora. I think that if they switched the episodes catering toward Cicada 2 and made them about RF, the season would’ve been much better.i also really like GoldFace a lot for some reason even though he is highly hated for some reason. I do disagree with some of the stuff you said. Saying that Savitar is the worst main villain in the flash is just stupid, considering that he is way better than Cicada 2, The Speedforce, and pretty much most of the main villains past S6. Also saying episodes like Duet and Run, Iris, Run, are good is just crazy, because they’re easily some of the worst episodes in the entire show.

Finally, someone with the same opinion as season 2. It's just a bigger season 1, or attempting to be, but it doesn't get into the more comic booky aspects of The Flash. They play it real safe in season 2 IMO, and don't really start to branch out until season 3. Funnily enough, I'm the opposite of you on most of Season 3 😂

I stopped watching The Flash during the middle of S4. I did stick it out until the end of Arrow but it was mostly because Arrow S5 kinda resurrected it for me after S3/4. The Flash never had a resurrection season after S4 for me.

Savitars' backstory is so bad. The "time loop" in which he was created, there are so many plot holes involving this, it doesn't work and when you think about it, makes no sense (The writers put no time into making this obviously) Savitar's origin is a character assasination of Team Flash, this is a NICE ASS team you are not gonna sit here and tell me every single one of them "shunned" and "hated" on Savitar just cause he wasn't the "true barry" fuck it, THEY ACCEPT HIM AT THE END OF THE SEASON, HE SHOULDNT EXIST. Everything isn't explained well or at all either ex: (his suit, his scar, how Barry killing him makes him "become" him) It's all so messy and barely thought out, so here's a simple fix on Savitar's character: Remove the time loop thing, remove Team Flash rejecting him, have Barry fight an extremely dangerous villain in the far future where he has to create a time remnant, (this causes the scar) This fight for whatever reason, traps the remnant in the speed force, causing him to slowly lose his mind and get faster, the remnant despises Barry for trapping him in the Speed Force and becomes insane and hell bent on ruining Barry's life just for revenge, (Hell, this fits in line with Season 3's theme of Barry's mistakes biting him in the ass, like Flashpoint) In getting revenge on Barry, he makes a false presence as the God of Speed and have his disciples build him the suit, Have Savitar be more like Prometheus to Arrow, a villain solely based on making Barry analyze himself, and his mistakes, keep the Iris death plot point (But not because of that paradox catching up to Savitar bullshit) Just make it because Savitar wants to ruin Barry's life any way possible, for revenge, it's so much more simple and so much more easy to understand than the stuff the CW writers came up with.
