Winning or losing because you or your opponent don’t get lands is piss poor game design. Imagine spending $400 on a deck of this cardboard trash in real life just to lose on turn 4

It's just another part of deck building. If you balance your spell cost and lands properly during the building process than not drawing mana to play is nearly a non issue. It just takes practice to get used to. A game not having in deck resources to worry about doesn't make it any better. Look at Yugioh. The game has essentially zero resource management to play your cards and you will still lose games before turn 4.
