My ancestor is Cú Chulainn. My family came to America from Connacht that is why we are called Connelly. It supposedly means "fierce as a hound" but some people say it means "loyal hound" and others say"valiant hound".

I find Irish stories like chchullann so disappointing. Nothing to emulate. Nothing to be proud of. Maybe cautionary tale of what not to be like. Just disappointing.
