I wouldn't say Wu is just like the Earth King from Avatar. In Avatar, the Earth King was sheltered and didn't know a lot about what was going on, but he was humble enough and smart enough to believe the evidence presented to him, and then he tried to do the right thing. Wu is just a clown.

Bataar Jr. was only in two scenes in Book 3, I think - once the first time Korra and co. had dinner in Zaofu, where he walked past the door carrying a ton of papers for his father (because "he engineers all of my husband's projects'") and then again when they sent Opal off to join with the airbenders. He never even said a word, so there's really no reason why you'd remember he exists. Also RIP Anne Heche, who voiced Su

Korra can still take away bending because it's something that was passed on by a Lion turtle. If she couldn't then it means she shouldn't be able to bend anything at all. I'm assuming she didn't because she was still rehabilitating and no one else knows how to do it

Kuvira is an interesting villain tho she sometimes may come off as less complex than others. She was going to have a backstory but budget cuts had that idea scrapped(thank you, Nickelodion) and it had been delegated to the comic. I feel bad for Bolin, he's...such a pure innocent soul and so eager to help. I like it when character's strengths can be their flaws too. He feels it's wrong but at the same time...people are being helped and they seem to like it.. This is another thing I like about this series and this season. It shows you that world and politics are complicated. Yes, Kuvira is full steam ahead to Dictatorship but she IS giving out food, and jobs and even tho it comes at a price she brings stability. and if people had chaos and bandit raides and hunger for three years, someone offering them stability and safety is gonna take priority for them.

Kuvira is right though. At least she did something for the Earth KIngdom. She stabilized it. There's also the bad stuff she does, but she is active.
