In regards to Vax’s vision about Keyleth, she is a druid. In game, at 18th level, their aging slows down to 1/10 of normal. Keyleth is also a half-elf, who live ~180 years. This means if she doesn’t die, she can live to ~1800 years old. She’ll naturally outlive every other member of Vox Machina, even if they all die of old age.

And the lore also points to eventually she doesn't die, but transitions to a sentient tree, that lives maybe forever.

@@KaraOni13 Forget where I heard maybe conjecture, but I think its based on Bell's Hells visit to the tree in the "Shattered Teeth" isles. I've watched campaign 1 three times and nearing finish of second watch thru of campaign 2, watched campaign 3 since beginning and have watch ALL other Critical Role content (including some that has since been removed). SO it kinda blurs together, can't remember exact moment, did go looking for source can't find right now, but will keep in back of my mind, to source it.

The spice guy was a reference to the stream; originally, Jarret had asked them to pick up a rare spice he missed from Marquet, and when trying to ask about it Sam Riegel (Scanlan) started feeling like he was asking for drugs, so it became a running joke of him asking about it as IF he was doing a drug deal, including asking people "do you spice?"

16:36 Vax kissing Keyleth isn't the cause of the fate of Vox Machina. You two will just have to wait and see how things develop. And here, you're both right. As a half-elf, Keyleth's base lifespan is around 180 years, but she's also a druid. If she's successful on her aramente, she can earn an ability called Timeless Body which makes her age 1 year for every 10 years that pass. So she could live to be 800 and would only age 80 years. Vax and Vex are half-elves too, with the same base lifespan as Keyleth, but even with Vax's longer life, Keyleth could easily outlive Vax with the way Timeless Body works.

The spice thing was a reference to an joke from the campaign, but him farting and running away was a total accident. Originally, he was meant to be reacting to something happening off-camera, but that thing he was reacting to got cut from the final edit. So they already had the animation done, but they needed a reason for him to run away; Travis (voice of Grog) decided it would be funny if he was running because he was too gassy 😂

Vax's visions are probable futures, they may happen, but he's not seeing everything in the vision, on how it comes to pass. They are called future timelines. As for Kelieth, he saw her living while the gang is gone. She will out live them all, and maybe she got them killed or something and she is still living pass them that way. But we don't really know. We are supposed to get a Season 4 and Season 3 just started.

I love how downright confusing the "spice" scene is without context from the campaign. I don't expect there to be more, but I _really_ hope we get it.

yea Keyleth isn't thinking clearly she's angry and vengeful and can't see past that, I'm sure most of the group doesn't trust Raishan but they clearly can't win on there own without help and more vestiges

I love the city of Ank'Harel, my friends and I are playing the 'netherdeep' D&D campaign set in the same world as Vox Machina. Our characters have been running around the city and staying in a local bar, we're having a blast there. I love when they hear the first gunshots Pike says "Percy!" it reminds me of Tarzan in the cartoon version when he says "Clayton!"

Ripley might be my favourite villain in the show. She's SUCH a threat, and it's so much fun to hate her, she's fantastic :D I always have a soft spot for a clever villain.

Keyleth's longevity is because of her druid background. Not all Ashari are druids. As for Vex's visions, he doesn't know if it's the only possible future or one of many so we don't get to know. Yet. Maybe it will be explained later.

We sort of know about the visions. They come from the Matron of Ravens, Vax is her champion so she can connect to him and give him visions etc relatively easily. We’ve seen that since he made the deal with her to bring Vex back. Part of her powers relate to fate as well, so she can show possible futures. Keyleth living long enough to see a memorial to the now dead members of VM is certainly a possible future, as you’ve explained, So the Matron can dampen his ardour efficiently…

He should have figured out they are only possible futures: his original one showed Ank'Harel being attacked by the conclave, including Umbrasyl. The black dragon is now dead, so that future won't happen.

Bidet and LFG! Welcome back to the smartest Vox Machina cold reactions. I watch everything ya'll put out that I've seen, but these are how this old Critter found you and I'm hyped. Regarding Ripley's motivations, we'll see more in the next episode, but it suffices to say she's a creature of pure ambition. She's Percy's even darker mirror, the person he could be without his family and friends.

Trying to answer about the Vax thing without spoilers/using stuff said in prev season comments as a refresher: Vax can SEE fates, and possibly change fates. So yes, the stuff he sees are possibilities and not always set in stone. Keyleth will outlive everyone after completing her Aramente, at high levels druids age 10x slower- so since half/-elves like her, Vex, and Vax can live for 150 or so years normally- she'll live way beyond that barring dying of something other than old age. And the Matron is not an evil god, so is unlikely to be just messing with him- I'd speculate she may not be entirely sending every vision since he is fate touched to begin with. But anyway, everything Vax sees if it isn't a vision of the *past* can be changed or different in someway. (And the only times I think he's seen the past was in S2e4 at the end when he saw the couple in that burned out shack, and maybe PART of his vision in S2e5 but it's hard to say if he saw the past of thordak escaping and the fire plane critters destroying Pyra or if he was seeing the future if the rift opened entirely and the world became one with the fire plane.)

This is mostly theory, but I think that the Matron can only communicate with Vax using visions or dreams, unless he does what he did last season -- go into a blood pool at one of her temples. It's only in that place that she can talk to him directly. I do think that the Matron was sending him that vision, because we see those black leaves just before Vax and Keyleth kiss. Now, what she meant by the vision is anyone's guess, because they are never easy to decipher.

The first two seasons came out on special-edition vinyl albums and there are some hints that they will do the same with season 3. These vinyl also include the awesome score by Neal Acree. The music is just awesome throughout. Glad to see y'all back!

#reactorswatchreactors Great analysis of Vax's visions. I think you arrived at a good conclusion, that the visions are not 100% certainties, but possible futures. Vax is Fate-touched, which means he can slightly impact the threads of fate and see connections through his pact with the Matron of Ravens.

Kiki is the only one thinking clearly. Green dragons, the most manipulative deceitful dragons known for infiltrating the kingdom's of mankind and destroying them with whispers from within. We can definitely trust the ancient evil green dragon known as "The Deceiver"

"OK we gotta check this out" They then verify the eggs exist and that they aren't strong enough currently to deal with Thordak. They now know they're on a timer. If they don't trust Raishan with the exact time frame, they should still operate on the side of caution and move quickly. Where is the wiggle room?
