*Major Spoilers for Campaign 1* pertaining to the differences with what happened to Grog and Craven Edge and speculating about future things *do not read unless you've finished C1 completely...* So if they're willing to Mess with Grogs death they're totally willing to mess with the other ones as well. It makes sense to keep the tension I suppose, the show is much faster paced and if they drop dead every 4 episodes it might start to lose it's edge lol. So Here's my list of *Deaths that have to happen:* 1)Percy at Glintshore with Ripley, 2)Scanlan's final death where he takes off after, 3)Vax and 4)Vex, 3&4 are a combo, That time they both died via Vecna (I mean the Whispered One) but Vax was disintegrated so Vex was revived but Vax wasn't. I'm like 99% this one's going to happen because that's when he talked to the RQ and became a revenant. ...And obviously 5)Vax, snowdrops 😢 *Deaths that don't have to happen but I really hope they do:* 6)Keyleth jumping off a cliff please please please. Make it a lesson about recklessness and overconfidence not being the antidote to self doubt if you need there to be a reason for it, but this really should happen please. Keyfish! 7)Vax and Artagan, Because...I mean... You know why. It's our friendly neighborhood Archfey that's why! I think this is going to happen because it's so iconic and Artagan is important for C2, but who knows? 8)Percy's death by Raishan, the description was so gnarly, seeing Percy disembowled by a Dragon would be fucked up for sure, but I understand if they just want to focus on Scanlan, they could make it a horrific injury instead (But I still hope they kill him, mwahahahaha). I really think they might actually go all out just to show how badass Raishan is if nothing else, she still has the highest kill count I think, of any campaign 🤣. *Deaths where it's fine if they alter the scene into a battle wound where someone gets hurt really badly or something:* 9)Vax with that fucking Kraken, it can totally be a fake out that time lol, we're good. A little cpr, have him choke up some water, some dramatic hugs, etc. It's a cool revival but Jesus christ, the second half of the campaign is justfull of dead Vax. Literally the last season will just be like: episode with dead Vax, ok he's back, episode, episode, episode with dead vax, ok he's back episode episode episode episode with dead vax, ok he's back! episode, episode, Show finale And...he's Dead again! 10)Vex and 11)Scanlan's deaths that happen in Thordak's lair by Raishan like a day before they get wrecked by Raishan again lol. They can just be horrifically injured and it won't hurt the story at all. 12) Doty getting ripped apart in hell technically counts, I don't think it's necessary but IDK what they'll do. Bonus Category ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Bonus Death:* 13)Could we get a Pike Glabrezu flashback? Almost certainly not because they've completely messed up the timeline but hey, they could always make something up and have her die via unnamed demon before they met VM in this Animated Alternate universe. She has dark hair in flash backs and white hair now so are they just doing that too keep nerds like us happy or do they have plans? (I feel like they would have mentioned it when Vex died if they were going to do it but still, could happen!) *NPC Deaths/ injuries* that have to happen: 14) Kaylie And 15) Cassandra With Gilmore in Thar Amphala. 😭 Remember the meanest thing Matt Mercer has ever done? Non negotiable, It must be animated. 16) Velora, so mean. (Also not a death, but a fake out at least, the Allura/Kima nat 20 of love over the Ocean! I NEED IT, GIVE IT TO ME!!!)

Agree with 2, 3 and 5 but think they might avoid 1 and 4. Whether Percy comes back from the dead or just from the brink I don't think changes that part of the story much so they can get away with reducing that. The tragedy of the Vecna fight scene was mostly from Vex not knowing what happened to Vax which can easily be done just by knocking her unconscious or some other way of her missing the fact. And as Vex has already had one resurrection it would be a bit much for a second, hence them swapping the first near-death in the first season to Keyleth, because her Sunken Tomb death was so important.

@@timidwolf Interesting. I could see the reasoning behind that but I hope you're wrong lol. Glintshore is _Iconic_ And the group kill of Ripley happens after Percy dies. I don't know how they'd manage to get it to HIT emotionally that hard without it. Plus his resurrection is a fundamental part of His and Vex's relationship, it's where she finally admits to being in love with him. And the goodbye letter he wrote to Vox Machina apologizing to everyone and telling them nice things about each of them... irreplaceable character development. As for not killing Vex in the Vex and Vax vecna fight death, This one I could more readily see not happening, they did already kill her after all. The only thing is, it's just _so_ incredibly Poetic! The Twins dying together then one Twin coming back and the other one not. The Twins being split apart by Death. It's almost like... Foreshadowing... Also if they keep the death's even completely it'll start to feel formulaic, I feel like rather than have evenly spaced deaths across the group, they're going to double down on a couple characters. The best guesses are of course Vax, Vex, Scanlan, and Percy. They already skipped Grog's death, which gives them more maneuvering room.

Not giving the show any hate whatsoever but this is exactly why it should have been either hour long episodes or a full 24 episode season. The Craven Edge arc was rushed through SO FAST! We never got Grog progression with it, he just breaks it with no growth. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't he actually keep the sword even after he accidentally stabbed Pike? I wish they would have given them more episodes to fully flush out amazing story arcs, maybe not every last one (Looking at you Vox Moochina) but I feel the Craven Edge story was just waisted for lack of time.
